Whenever Trump refuses to get pinned down on an answer, or when he refuses the premise of a question, some of these people (I uses that term loosely) hog the mic, refuse to give it up, and talk over other members of the press crops and over the president himself.

Who do these people think they are?

First off, you don’t have the right to force the President to give a specific response that you want, and cross examine him when he doesn’t.

Second, being in that room is a privilege, and if you are rude and hostile during your stay, you should be barred from ever returning. It’s not about the first amendment. Print and say whatever the hell you want. You don’t deserve access when you are belligerent and disruptive.

Third, no one, particularly not the President who is much better informed than you are, has to accept the premise of your preposterous questions. Many of them are not even questions, they are accusations with a question mark, such as asking whether he will “continue to divide America”. It’s not really a question, and deserves to be repudiated.

You’re absolutely correct.

Acosta tries to set up President Trump every time he’s called on. The phrasing he puts out while supposedly asking a question is an insult to begin with and Trump is tired of it so he cuts him off.

When Acosta refuses to shut up and sit he should be escorted out by the security people and informed he’s not welcome back, ever.
