If you look up the word "nationalist" the first synonym is "patriotic".
If you look up the word "patriot" the first synonym is "nationalist".
They two words are synonyms.
Yes, both nationalist and patriot can be used in a derogatory sense, as in "chauvinist", "jingoist", "xenophobe", etc., etc.
But those describe a pathological condition of excessive or misdirected nationalism-patriotism.
So the two words -- nationalist and patriotic -- mean the same things and can be used interchangeably.
The real problem in our country today is neither too much nationalism nor patriotism, but something very different: tribalism -- people who hate their country to favor their "tribe", be it race, ethnicity, political ideology, gender, etc., etc.
Stop funding PBS.

The good ones generally don’t seem to be atheist, it seems to me. I admit my experience is VERY limited.
You won’t get far with that obvious truth around here. A lot seem to think that we are still in demographic 1965 because that’s what their suburb is like. They all knew an honest, hard-working non-white person “back in the service” 50 years ago, so they see no threat as long as we still have the Constitution. They all seem to think that Thomas Sowell is about to move in next door to them. They think that “the Democrats are the real racists” and “the liberals are the real fascists” are effective arguments, as if they can shame people who have no shame.
They love the racist theme. Quite simple: if you’re White, you’re racist.
Shirt version: “If you can hear the dog whistle YOU are the dog.”

There’s millions upon millions of white men(and women) that don’t have it as good as her yet we just live out our lives working away, trying to make our lives and the lives of our loved ones better without Taking from others.
In his response he actually juxtaposed the word against “globalist”. i.e. there are nationalists and there are globalists.
“White nationalist” is a label for a group that wants a “white nation”. Nationalist is a lable for a person who values their nation over all other nations.
They are not stupid. They are being intentionally obtuse to persuade the stupid.
I don’t know who Emily Goldstein is, but I don’t think I can be stunned anymore.
