A good candidate could have won this. The its your turn attitude of old line repubs have us this result
True...I live in her district. Her stupid campaign was text messages everyday. If you saw 1 Handel sign...youd see 100 Lucy McBath signs.
Handel was invisible in Congress and did nothing but warm a seat.
If we don’t find a way to convince Suburban White Women that they are voting against their Husbands, Sons, and Fathers every time they imagine themselves as some feminist crusader, we will continue to lose in the future.
I can tell you that on election day, every single intersection was surrounded on all 4 corners by grey haired white women holding signs and yelling for the Dem.
Nope, dems want to get rid of guns and ICE, and that stance is well known, as well known as the utter failure of Obamacare.
Handel to me seems a bland candidate, but I would have voted for her had I lived in that district because she is not a democrat, and probably does not want to get rid of ICE nor guns.
I do agree that the GOP had a "candidate problem" in many of these races they lost. If I hear one more campaign statement from some useless old Republican @sshole running for Congress in a Rust Belt state, telling people to vote for him because "I was Trump before Trump was here," then I'm going to register as a Green Party member just to vote in primaries for candidates who already know they're losers.
Amen! The Lord Jesus Christ is my hope. I would love for goodness to prevail, but this world currently seems primed for Antichrist to come in and swoop ‘em off their feet.
Simple faith in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus SAVES a person, FRiends.
I saw a picture of an elderly white woman in the Atlanta paper who lives in Vinings (an affluent Atlanta suburb in Cobb County - basically Buckhead West) who proudly stated that she voted for Abrams. I thought to myself, just what is Abrams going to do which would represent your interests, ma’am? She isn’t going to be looking out for your demographic or neighborhood, that’s for sure.
Since you dont live in Georgias sixth your opinion is uninformed
Doesnt matter what dems want to do ( and will try to) I told you what the McBath campaign used in their ads. Handel spoke only to rock solid Baptists. She is and was a self serving wanna be that alienated much of the base. She had worn out her welcome
You dont even understand that district. Handel came out of a huge primary that had very good candidates. Her name was recognizable because she had been around for a long time doing nothing. She beat Paul Ryans body double in a special election....and not by much. She did nothing in her short time in congress and she pissed off a bunch of her base constituents.
You do that you lose
“Since you dont live in Georgias sixth your opinion is uninformed”
The only information one needs is to know whether the candidate is Democrat or Republican. The blanks then fill out themselves.
I don’t seek a relationship with politicians. I don’t like Cruz, but I would have voted for him.
And you are incorrect
Unfortunately Handel did not campaign. Her ads talked about child trafficking. She is not well liked. She is not anything like she tries to pretend to be and she has pissed people off. It is a district with independents who are not thrilled with her
Folks with the means to do so will always abandon places for better ones, and leave what’s left behind to wither on the vine.
And with open borders, it’s going to happen on a world-wide scale.
Bad days ahead, folks.
The GOP literally needs to have a dictator in charge that will decide which candidates they’ll support and thoroughly vet them.
WTF???!
