Police were called to the Washington, D.C. home of Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night when a group of protesters showed up and shouted threats.
Smash Racism D.C., which calls itself an "anti-fascist," or Antifa, group, claimed responsibility for the protest on social media. It has previously targeted Ted Cruz, Kirstjen Nielsen, and other right-wing figures.

What exactly is an anti-political motive? If the police arrived and masked vandals were threatening people in their own home, with obvious signs of property destruction, then how can police justify inaction?

I lived and worked in the region around eight years ago, and my co-worker (long-time DC resident) often discussed how DC ‘protection’ worked. The eastern side of DC for years had prioritized and demanded teacher jobs and public housing. The western side (Georgetown area) demanded cops. So the city council had created this Frankenstein-like public system that everyone got something but it was marginal in terms of value.
The problem I see here is if the cops did respond, and it’s a limited ‘show’ in the first two minutes (say one or two cops), then they might overreact, and have to pull weapons out, and there’s some chance of a couple of dead Antifa guys. I suspect no one in the DC City council wants that, and so the cops are on some leash and told to avoid confrontations.
They’ll be about as successful as they were in finding Seth Rich’s murderer.
Just give the green light for home owners to open fire on anarchist terrorists like this . With ZERO legal liability .
