MEXICO CITY (AP) — Thousands of Central American migrants decided to depart Mexico City early Friday and head toward the northern city of Tijuana, opting for the longer but likely safer route to the U.S. border, caravan organizers said. The decision was made late Thursday in a Mexico City stadium where roughly 5,000 migrants have spent the past few days resting... It came shortly after caravan representatives met with officials from the local United Nations office and demanded buses to take them to the border.

Caravan coordinator Milton Benitez told the migrants that they were still waiting for a response. But he later said to The Associated Press the officials had offered them buses for women and children but organizers demanded that they be for everyone. U.N. representatives could not be immediately reached to confirm this.

The migrants hoped that buses would arrive for them Friday morning but decided to leave Mexico City even if they didn’t...

If you miss the train they're on, you will know that they are gone, you can hear the whistle blow a 100 miles. Five hundred miles, five hundred miles, Lord they're 500 miles from my home.

The problem here is that the last two-hundred miles of this ‘adventure’ going north....is smack in the middle of cartel territory. Just on rumors only....it’d be highly stupid to walk that 200 mile stretch.

I suspect the vast majority of folks are finished at this point.

I don’t understand this. If you want a bus ride, just buy a ticket. If you can’t afford that you don’t belong on the road. They seem to have enough money for cell phone data plans.

"Demanded"? These are not people we want in our country. They are entitled brats - natural democrats and parasites.

Well, only 1,430 miles between them and Tijuana.

More than three weeks for them to travel about 500 miles so far from the Guatemala border.

That’s because Obama, the Clintons and the Bushes used to load them on busses and bring them to the border. They still think it’s included in the package.

They missed their deadline of getting to the US border by Tuesday to become an even bigger election issue so their funding is most likely gone.

Has anybody seen any articles about what damage and destruction this caravan has left in it’s wake? It can’t be a good thing for the environment.

Caravan coordinator Milton Benitez

Isn’t that just peachy keen? The invaders actually have a coordinator. 👎 Doesn’t that about take the cake?

I haven’t to be flipping channels this morning and landed on the Mexican station. They were bashing on President Trump for signing the EO on asylum. So these invaders know what they are up against. At least they will get a bus ride back to their own country courtesy of the US government.

This has dropped out of the news. I would love to see a continuous feed of our troops on the border. I can’t find any news lately on that?

We have the money. That is what they are coming for. Buy off one of the cartels and see how much “attrition” is required before they turn around.

...caravan representatives met with officials from the local United Nations office and demanded buses to take them to the border.

The message to take away is that "might makes right". If a gang/mob/political party wants something, they will be given it or take it by force.

This entire display is a camouflage wrapper on theft and thuggery.

The US should bomb this invading army before it reaches the border.

Maybe it’s because it didn’t turn out to be the election issue the rats 🐀 had hoped for. Ergo, it drops off the radar.
