Michelle Obama is talking about this because it'll make her more sympathetic to middle class white women. Very few black women undergo fertility treatments; infertility is overwhelmingly an issue that white women deal with. I don't think Obama is trying to make money — directly or indirectly - by talking about her IVF experiences.
