Now Washington Post questions SPLC's credibility
World Net Daily ^ | 09 NOV 2018 | Art Moore

Posted on 11/09/2018 9:02:06 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

The Southern Poverty Law Center has become the go-to “expert” on “hate groups” for establishment media and companies such as Amazon, but when a Washington Post Magazine reporter was commissioned to produce an in-depth feature on the organization, he came away with a least some doubt about SPLC’s credibility as an arbiter of “hate.”

The reporter, David Montgomery, clearly is an admirer of SPLC, but his article was titled “The State of Hate: Researchers at the Southern Poverty Law Center have set themselves up as the ultimate judges of hate in America. But are they judging fairly?”

The Post writer points out that SPLC has expanded its scope of “hate groups” from the Ku Klux Klan and other white supremacists to conservative organizations that defend traditional marriage, opposed illegal immigration and warn of the threat of supremacist Islam to Western civilization.

Jihad Watch Director Robert Spencer, who has been a target of SPLC, commented on his website that it’s “astonishing that this evisceration of the SPLC would appear in the Washington Post, and it indicates that even the Leftist media is finding the SPLC too partisan, too unfair, and too biased to continue to defend.”

SPLC casts Spencer as “one of the most prolific anti-Muslim figures in the United States.”

But Spencer, who argues he’s often criticized for merely pointing out that supremacist Muslims cite Islamic texts as the motivation for terrorist attacks and other threats to civilization, contends he is not “anti-Muslim.”

“I oppose jihad terror and Sharia oppression of women, non-Muslims, and others. I am no more ‘anti-Muslim’ than foes of the Nazis were ‘anti-German,'” he writes.

Spencer noted that companies such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Amazon, Patreon and GoFundMeWe rely on SPLC’s “hate” designation, and he hopes the Post article will help them “reconsider their...

Good to see this being reported on, but it’s been known to many of us for decades, SPLC is a hate group itself.

The SPLC is a hate group. I bet they didn’t designate themselves as one so I guess others will have to.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is a vicious hate group itself.

I'll venture to state the same about the Anti Defamation League and the ACLU is quickly following.

Pretty sure you are one million percent right. Since this is a family forum, I won’t say what I really think. 👎 On the other hand, you can probably figure out what I think about them anyway. 😁👍 Many of these rat 🐀 bastards, are just self hating racists, themselves.

CIRCA 2013----- America-hating Obama considers military-trained vets as potential terrorists.Years ago, Obama's then-DHS Secy Napolitano revealed Obama's intentions---classifying the military as domestic terror threats. Unbelievably, Obama hatched a plan to search the homes of military when terror threats surfaced.

=========================================================

Educational materials from the Department of Defense (DOD) depict conservative organizations as “hate groups” and to be aware that “many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and how to make the world a better place.” The documents repeatedly cite the leftwing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a resource for identifying “hate groups.”

Judicial Watch obtained the DOD documents in a response to a Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) filed on April 8, 2013. The FOIA requested “Any and all records concerning, regarding, or related to the preparation and presentation of training materials on hate groups or hate crimes distributed or used by the Air Force.”

Included in the 133 pages of lesson plans and PowerPoint slides provided by the Air Force is a January 2013 Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute “student guide” entitled “Extremism.” The document says that it is “for training purposes only” and “do not use on the job.” Highlights include:

•The document defines extremists as “a person who advocates the use of force or violence; advocates supremacist causes based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or national origin; or otherwise engages to illegally deprive individuals or groups of their civil rights.”

•A statement that “Nowadays, instead of dressing in sheets or publically espousing hate messages, many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and how to make the world a better place.”

•“[W]hile not all extremist groups are hate groups, all hate groups are extremist groups.”

•Under a section labeled “Extremist Ideologies” the document states, “In U.S. history, there are many examples of extremist ideologies and movements. The colonists who sought to free themselves from British rule and the Confederate states who sought to secede from the Northern states are just two examples.”

•In this same section, the document lists the 9/11 attack under a category of “Historical events.”

•“[A]ctive participation…with regard to extremist organizations is incompatible with military service and, is therefore prohibited.” [Emphasis in original]

•The document details the “seven stages of hate” and sixteen “extremists’ traits.”

•The SPLC is listed as a resource for information on hate groups and referenced several times throughout the guide.

•Of the five organizations besides the SPLC listed as resources, one is an SPLC project (Teaching Tolerance) and one considers any politically or socially conservative movement to be a potential hate group (Political Research Associates).

•Other than a mention of 9/11 and the Sudan, there is no discussion of Islamic extremism.

In June, after one of SPLC's targets sued and received a settlement, about 60 organizations named by SPLC as "haters" are considering a lawsuit against the SPLC for defamation. If the DOJ goes after SPLC with a RICO case, the SPLC has half a BILLION in the bank to lose.

BACKSTORY The conniving SPLC stashed a lot of its income offshore.The Southern Poverty Law Center is best known for its "hate map" -----a collection of organizations the nonprofit SPLC deems "domestic hate groups" that lists mainstream conservative organizations alongside racist groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and is often referenced in the media. A gunman opened fire at the Washington, D.C., offices of the conservative Family Research Council in 2012 after seeing it listed as an "anti-gay" group on SPLC's website.

Its the same old liberal con game----faking concern for your fellow man....and conniving to make a buck on it. That con has has turned SPLC into a fundraising powerhouse, recording more than $50 million in contributions and $328 million in net assets on its 2015 Form 990, the most recently available tax form from the nonprofit. SPLC's Form 990-T, its business income tax return, from the same year shows that they have "financial interests" in the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, and Bermuda. No information is available beyond the acknowledgment of the interests at the bottom of the form. (Excerpt) Read more at freebeacon.com ...

================================================

REFERENCE--Southern Poverty Law Center Transfers Millions in Cash to Offshore Entities
freebeacon / FR Posted by Sub-Driver
The SPLC off-shore banking scam sounds suspiciously like the Madoff fraud. When he went to jail, investigators found Ponzi King Bernie Madoff had stashed billions offshore---into a labyrinth of financial entities.

COLLUSION AND CONSPIRACIES GALORE---Some $8.9 billion was funneled to Madoff through a dozen so-called feeder funds based in Europe, the Caribbean and Central America......a labyrinth of hedge funds, management companies and service providers that, to unsuspecting outsiders, seemed to compose a formidable system of checks and balances. But the purpose of this complex architecture was just the opposite: the feeder funds provided different modes for directing money to the cunning Madoff in order to avoid scrutiny.

=====================================

ACTION NOW---The Bank Secrecy Act should be mobilized----to follow the paper trail and determine how money changed hands among (a) SPLC (b) Obama and OFA, (c) leftist groups and donors.

Demand that the scope and dimension of collusion in sub rosa deals be examined, as to who might be personally profiting and if financing domestic terrorism is being facilitated.

<><> L/E needs to examine bank accounts of the aforementioned.

<><> Joint bank accounts might be used to facilitate the transfer funds from one account to another, and/or wire-transferred offshore;

<><> To cover their tracks, fake invoices might be created to show that money deposited into SPLC accounts was being used for legitimate purposes.

<><> Financial schemes scheme might be advanced by issuing phony statements of payments from financial sources that actually covered the transfer of funds for insiders' personal use and/or for financing domestic terrorism.

Shady banking transactions could be prosecuted under the (1) Bank Secrecy ACT, (2) RICO, and, (3) the Hobbs Act.

=============================================

<><> L/E should get ahold of: (1) copies of SPLC checks, (2) wire transfers, (3) account statements, (4) invoices, (5) bills, (6) delivery tickets, (7) SPLC correspondence including snail mail, e-mail, mobile devices, cell phones, (8) contracts, (9) loan agreements, (10) other account books or official records.

L/E should also explore (a) monies paid to brokers, sub- brokers, (b) family members, (c) mortgage brokers, (d) financial managers, and, (e) real estate agents, brokers, and developers.

<><> L/E should scrutinize bank accounts for suspicious activites: (A) large deposits, (B) funds transferred from one account into another, (C) frequent requests for withdrawals.

<><> SPLC bank records might also show diversions to secret LLC accounts, to money launder and to operate personal ventures;

Tax fraud may also be a factor, facilitated by withdrawals, gift cards purchases, credit card purchases and intra-bank transfers from legal bank accounts into personal accounts, or redistribution schemes.

<><> A huge tipoff is whether SPLC bank withdrawals support luxurious lifestyle including payments for real estate, investment and stock holdings, jewelry, luxury vehicles, resort travel....... and gifts and purchases from luxury outlets.

CIRCA 2015--Obama Declares War On ‘Extremism’ – Are You An ‘Extremist’
FR Posted 1/13/15 by seekandfind

A list of 72 types of Americans that are considered to be “extremists” or “potential terrorists” in official U.S. government documents. This list will really give you a good idea of what Barack Obama means when he uses the word “extremist”. Each of these 72 items is linked (at web site). As you can see, this list potentially includes most of the country…

OBAMA'S LIST OF EXTREMISTS AS FOUND IN OBAMA-ERA OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS: Those that talk about “individual liberties,” that advocate for states’ rights, that want “to make the world a better place,” that are interested in “defeating the Communists”

Those that believe “that the interests of one’s own nation are separate from the interests of other nations or the common interest of all nations.” Anyone that holds a “political ideology that considers the state to be unnecessary, harmful,or undesirable.” Anyone that possesses an “intolerance toward other religions.” Those that “take action to fight against the exploitation of the environment and/or animals”

“Anti-Gay,” “Anti-Immigrant,” “Anti-Muslim,”“The Patriot Movement,” “Opposition to equal rights for gays and lesbians”

Members of the Family Research Council, the American Family Association, Members of the American Border Patrol/American Patrol, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, the Tennessee Freedom Coalition, the Christian Action Network, citizens networks.

Those “opposed to the New World Order,” engaged in “conspiracy theorizing”, those that believe that Mexico, Canada and the United States “are secretly planning to merge into a European Union-like entity that will be known as the ‘North American Union’”

Anyone opposed to Agenda 21, anyone concerned about FEMA camps, that “fears impending gun control or weapons confiscations,” the militia movement, sovereign citizen movement, that “don’t think they should have to pay taxes”

Anyone that “complains about bias,” that “believes in government conspiracies, that “is frustrated with mainstream ideologies,” that “visits extremist websites/blogs,” that “establishes website/blog to display extremist views," that “attends rallies for extremist causes,” that “exhibits extreme religious intolerance," that is personally connected with a grievance,” that “suddenly acquires weapons,” that “organizes protests inspired by extremist ideology”

“Militia or unorganized militia,” “General right-wing extremist,” Citizens that have “bumper stickers” that are patriotic or anti-U.N., those that refer to an “Army of God,” that are “fiercely nationalistic (as opposed to universal and international in orientation),” that are “anti-global,” that are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” that “revere individual liberty,” that “believe in conspiracy theories”

Those that have “a belief that one’s personal and/or national ‘way of life’ is under attack,” that possess “a belief in the need to be prepared for an attack either by participating in paramilitary preparations and training or survivalism,” that would “impose strict religious tenets or laws on society (fundamentalists)” that would “insert religion into the political sphere,” that would “seek to politicize religion,” that have “supported political movements for autonomy.”

Anyone that is “anti-abortion.”

Anyone that is “anti-Catholic,” “anti-nuclear,” that is “Rightwing.”

Extremists include “Returning veterans,” those concerned about “illegal immigration,” those that “believe in the right to bear arms,” anyone that is engaged in “ammunition stockpiling.”

Anyone that exhibits “fear of Communist regimes” “Anti-abortion activists" those against illegal immigration, those that talk about “the New World Order” in a “derogatory” manner

Those that have a negative view of the United Nations, that are opposed “to the collection of federal income taxes,” that supported former presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr, that display the Gadsden Flag (“Don’t Tread On Me”)

Those that believe in “end times” prophecies, including Evangelical Christians.

That is why alarm bells should go off whenever Barack Obama (or his Democrat minions) speaks of the need to crack down on “extremism”.
