When Trump was just the nominee I only had two things I wanted accomplished. One was to keep Hillary out of the White House. The other was to fill Scalia’s seat with a conservative. I got both and far far more gravy than I could have hoped for.

Can the changes in Senate membership help the GOP in January?

Yes. Assuming some of these seats aren’t stolen.

?? Re pending. Has he named names to all those positions? If not how many people has he actually sent their names to Senate?

Louisville radio had a nice segment on Mitch McConnell before 2016 election It explained how he sat on more than the Gorsuch seat. There were over 80 judicial nominations that BO didn’t get to appoint people too. Therefor DJT has twice the numbers of appointments than most presidents

The lack of people on the bench like the weakening of military seemed to be part of the plan to weaken our government — to undermine the rule of law.

There needs to be a solid law passed that on election night, every jurisdiction MUST have all ballots submitted by a certain time or they will be negated. This whole weeks upon weeks of “oh, we found ten thousand more ballots” or “hey, here is a ballot box found in storage closet”, nonsense should be squelched lickety split.

Their names have been sent to the senate. Their nominations are pending either in committee or on the floor.

Official count is 135 vacancies with 56 nominations pending.

http://www.uscourts.gov/judges-judgeships/judicial-vacancies

Note that the total number of judges does not include those on ‘Senior’ status (semi-retired). Senior judges hear cases but might not work full-time. This makes judicial vacancies in some places less critical than in others.

And note that judicial nominations as well as other Trump nominations were botched by Chris Christie when he headed the transition team, so the President started out behind where he should have been for all appointments.

Dems would definitely ram through everything possible and they have. Anti-Trumper R’s will probably go home to start their retirement early. R’s have done this before as well.

At a minimum, state law should require that every county's Board of Elections have at least one (maybe more for large counties) representative from each major party.

It's bad enough when many precincts in dangerous Dem-dominant neighborhoods have no R election judges because no R is willing to drive there and spend the day there. That way, near the end of the polling hours (or after), the four chief and asst chief election judges, who are actually all Dems though 2 of them signed (legally) as R, can vote as many times as needed for people that they know did not show up to vote that day. Unless R's get election judges or poll watchers into every precinct in D areas of the country, major vote fraud will continue. These things happen in small numbers.

Defying the law after the election as new ballots are "found" is fraud on a massive scale.
