About 3 miles away from me is part of the Woolsey fire.
I drive down Valley Circle Blvd M-F on the way back from work where the fires are and take the 101 freeway to work down Topanga Blvd. The whole route is shutdown from Valley Circle to Lindero exit which is where I make the exit to cross the freeway to get to work a few lights down Agoura road.

We were able to leave work early on Thursday afternoon. We had Friday off as the whole place was shutdown. At the time the fire was in Ventura north of the building where I work but it skipped over and was burning along Agoura road where I drive that parallels the 101 freeway that I take to get back home.

No danger where I am at as the brush fires always move down the hills towards Malibu.

The company email says to expect to be at work on Monday but nothing final yet. High winds in area too so I doubt anyone will be at work. I have Monday scheduled off anyhow. I would not want to be at work as the winds can shift and both the 101 and the 118 freeways which are the only way to the San Fernando valley where I live can be closed. See news here: https://abc7.com

Sigalert shows freeway traffic. See cameras. No traffic.

Company email:
“We anticipate that the building will be open on Monday morning, but at this point it is impossible to predict. Please know that we are monitoring the situation very closely and will send you an update via email and text as soon as a decision has been made. Be alert for notification on Sunday evening.”

The smarter-than-thou county managers told everyone to clear 100 feet around their house. Of course Cal-Fire banned burning starting in June, so people would have to rent a chipper. That's good advice except it doesn't matter when the county (and Cal-Fire) didn't do anything to county lands.

Among Butte county's insane regulations is they don't allow more than 6,000 acres to burn on any given day. That's in a county of over a million acres. They now have 109,000 acres burned or burning. Pure genius.
