…..granddaughter went to a military ball last night. I told her to get pictures and send to me.
Around 3am in the morning I hear the Iphone message signal and wonder who on earth is dying.
I pull over the phone and see a phone full of pictures.
She sure was mighty pretty
I hope she calls me today to tell me all about it but it really was a big deal in her life.
A small sob tries to get out. Her mother has Munchausen's and left the child when she was 12. Her father has a bad case of cancer, getting operated on the day before Thanksgiving.
Granddaughter works to pay her own way, even though she is only 15. It's a kind of sad story.
But she's a good kid and had to stand out in the pouring rain for "fire watch" for several hours but she did it.
Anyway, prayers can never hurt.
Please pass the word to your Marine (even if from a Navy Chief)...
