WARNING - DISTRESSING CONTENT: The men were dragged out of a jail cell and killed as hundreds cheered

Two innocent men were dragged out of a jail cell and burned alive by a cheering mob as rumours of child abductors spread rapidly on WhatsApp.

The message talked of a "plague of child kidnappers" and three children, aged four, eight and 14, had been found murdered.

It claimed the criminals were involved in organ trafficking, as the children were found with their abdomens sliced open and their organs removed.

But the two men - an uncle and his nephew - who were set upon by a mob of villagers were falsely accused after they were spotted near an elementary school.

Distressing footage shows the pair being beaten and then set on fire outside a police station, as the mother of one of the men watched on a Facebook live steam.

Ricardo Flores, a 21-year-old law student, and his uncle Alberto Flores, a 43-year-old farmer, were taken into police custody for "disturbing the peace" after they were accosted by locals in San Vicente Boqueron, Mexico, on August 29.

The innocent pair were buying construction supplies for a water well when they were targeted amid the WhatsApp rumours, BBC Monitoring reported.

The message that was shared by villagers read: "Please everyone be alert because a plague of child kidnappers has entered the country. It appears that these criminals are involved in organ trafficking...

"In the past few days, children aged four, eight and 14 have disappeared and some of these kids have been found dead with signs that their organs were removed. Their abdomens had been cut open and were empty."

We should allow people who think like this into our country. What could go wrong? Besides, we need the gardeners and housecleaners.

These are the people the left says we must allow into our country. With the media agreeing with them every step of the way.

Mexico joins other sixth-world areas.

Open sewers are defined as fifth-world areas.

[We should allow people who think like this into our country. What could go wrong? Besides, we need the gardeners and housecleaners.]

Illegals should be deported yesterday. Having said that, the dearth of law and order in Mexico (over 90% of murders go unsolved, and abductions leading to murder are epidemic) means vigilantism is the only way to get justice. Were the people burned innocent? That’s not actually clear. We presume innocence until proven guilty. Where the government fails to provide justice, the average Jose will presume guilt until proven innocent, since as someone who needs to work to feed his family he has neither the time nor the resources to do what the police aren’t doing despite being paid to do so.

Harsh exemplary justice deters whether or not the executed is clearly guilty. Is it truly just, when the innocent might be caught up in the net? Perhaps not. But in Mexico, where the justice system is chaotic and non-functional even by Third World standards, it may be necessary.

This doesn’t look all that “exemplary” however, when the ability to palm off your crime on some hapless, unwilling Pedro is quite easy. All that was seen was that the vigilantism victims were near a school. Did the crowd go looking for more such people?

[This doesn’t look all that “exemplary”]

In everyday usage, the word “exemplary” has hived off from its actual meaning. The actual and original meaning is “to set an example”, in the sense of “if you transgress, you will be killed in a painful and gruesome manner”, pour encourager les autres. Exemplary citywide massacres of cities that resisted a siege were used as a means of convincing other cities on the target list that they should surrender before that invader commenced an expensive and bloody siege.

Wouldn't that depend on whether you will need to arm your squad, your platoon, your company, or your battalion.

The women just shrugged and said, ‘they were just men.’

Now if this happened to innocent women, oprah herself would come back to prime time to boradcast.
