Here is some assessment drone footage of the Malibu fire effects:
Glad I got the hell out of So Cal when I did. Stuff will burn right down to the ocean.
>> An email from a friend <<
“A personal friend? Cause that reads like a hoax.”
1. I searched the email and the only place it is posted is here.
2. We used to live near Lincoln, California and we have friends who live near the fire and we got an email saying they were fine and their place is untouched.
3. Paradise is a retirement community and therefore it has more than the usual number of ties with the rest of the world because people from all over go there to retire.
Add all of this together and what I see is a fellow FReeper who posted a heartfelt message from one of his friends for the rest of us to see.
And I appreciate it.
Thank you for your post, Jeff.

That's one of my favorites to view on YouTube; beautiful artwork from pouring aluminum into ant hills. PETA doesn't like that. But pretty art created from nature. As for car bodywork, the tin alloy needs a higher temperature than lead to melt; old cars were easier to mate body parts as the lead melted at lower temps. When I was young I visited the Ford plant around Fremont and watched men slapping lead body filler on cars by hand. Stuff that is done by robots now.
Anyway, a shame to see all the cars, homes and businesses destroyed, perfectly good stuff lost by the residents. Everything they worked hard for is gone. Sad. Can't replace all the labor and love that went into their possessions, not to mention lost memories and keepsakes. Friend of mine lost everything in the San Bruno fire and is still trying to recover from it, years later.
Maybe deliver a hive of carpenter ants to their houses, see how they’d like that. I bet they do call the Orkin man for pests.
The Constitution gives the feds NO authority to posses ANY state lands with one minor exception.
Giving the feds more unconstitutional power is like throwing kerosene on a raging fire (pun intended).
I just watched the video showing the remains of humans practically cremated in their vehicles... ...I assure it is no hoax!
Aren’t people the real problem in this galaxi?
I was speaking with a friend from the Bay Area last week.
“Yeah - I did some work up in Paradise years ago. Just driving into town with all of the trees - just knowing this place would go up like a match. The motel - everywhere. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.”
I have a house in Lake Arrowhead CA and if we don’t clear undergrowth, dead leaves and diseased or dead trees the fire as authority does it for us and sends us a bill. That area is heavily prone to fires.
Jihadists were advised to time their arson "preferably in the later part of night to the early hours of morning when people are generally asleep," and instructions were offered on how to block off exits to inflict casualties. For wildfires, ISIS said to look for dry brush "as fire cannot endure in damp or wet environments." Arsonists were encouraged to leave the mark of ISIS somewhere near the fire site with spray paint or black marker. Suggested target locations for arson attacks, the magazine stated, "include houses and apartment buildings, forest areas adjacent to residential areas, factories that produce cars, furniture, clothing, flammable substances, etc., gas stations, hospitals, bars, dance clubs, night clubs, banks, car showrooms, schools, universities, as well as churches, Rafidi [Shiite] temples, and so forth. The options are vast, leaving no excuse for delay." https://drudgereport.com/?NF=1
