Nothing heavy will ever be lifted again as they’ll all be waiting in vain for a man to come along and do the job. Spiders will take over the world.
I'm now retired, and that is my career experience.
There was a sci-fi novel/short story about this a couple of decades ago.
All the men on earth had died from some strange virus, and that left women alone.
They were able to continue the race thru cloning.
They eventually became more and more aggressive, just like men................
I remember when that intellectual giant Sally Field proclaimed that if women ran the world, there would be no wars. Horsecrap. They’d just be starting wars over sleights like mocking their shoes or complaining their butts looked fat in their dress.
Why would anyone shoot you?
It’s funny as hell, and matches up with my wife’s work experience in major southern hospital system.
Women are nasty to each other - much worse than men. Backstabbing and poisonous gossip are the preferred weapons.
This would be my worst nightmare. And truly no surprise to anyone who has worked in an environment where females out number males.
No thank you. Nope. Just . . nope.
I do not like female bosses, for some reason I have trouble communicating with them. Not so fond of the last two male bosses, one was nice, but dishonest. The current one is a super micromanager.
Actually, I do not like having a boss.
An all female workplace?
Better have really good leadership.
I bet if you ask a lot of women if they’d sign up to work in a place like that, a significant portion would be skeptical. Scheming “office politics”, alliances, and the occasional to frequent flaring of drama?
There are jerks of all kind, creed, race or gender. No one has a monopoly on it, but even if the stuff I alluded to above is more stereotype than reality, I am willing to guess that it’s a situation many women would be skeptical of joining.
Yes there are. Best manager / boss I ever worked for was a woman.
On the other hand, the worst manager / boss i ever worked for was also a woman.
Dirty little secret: The sandbagging and backstabbing at female dominated workplaces goes on at a whole ‘nother level that what you can even believe.
You’d probably need a PhD in Sociobiology to understand why, but in my experience it is absolutely true.
Guys don’t have the energy nor inclination to settle every old score.
Having worked in Corp America the last 20 years, the women can be just as cut-throat as anyone. The female clerical staff can gang up and bully another woman they just don’t like.
Don’t get me wrong, the overwhelming number of women in my life are wonderful people, but they’re not all Angels.
And I’ll throw in the “what happens when their periods sync” bit of gasoline on this fire.
I worked as the Network Admin for a small, rural hospital from ‘94 until 2006. During my annual review with the CEO one year I told him the only way I would ever work anywhere with the female to male ratio like we had (about 10 to 1) was if it was a Nudie Bar.
Anything 100% female or 100% male would be bad. The sexes are supposed to balance each other out, each making up for weaknesses in the other. Like a beautiful ballroom dance where the man’s strength and the woman’s gracefulness combine to make a perfect performance.
Very fun movie, by the way.
However, my experience with female bosses is that they are over aggressive, over demanding, mean spirited, etc...
They seem to have need to over compensate. They often act like a caricature of what they believe a strong male boss would act like.
There's no point in reasoning with them.
THEY are in charge. THEY make the decisions. There is NO discussion about of their decisions.
If they didn't already know this was coming after having experienced high school, I have zero sympathy for them. :)
Misogynist: A man who hates women...
as much as women hate women.
I’m thinking Kellyanne Conway’s household would be better off without any men...
I remember reading an article in golf digest some time ago written by a woman who played golf with groups of men and groups of women to compare and contrast the groups. Her summary went something like this: “men talk trash to and with their male cohorts while women stand back and talk about the other women.” I don’t see anything in my life that disputes her finding.
