ep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., beat back a challenge from dark horse candidate, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Wednesday for the role of House Minority Leader, with Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., nabbing the title of GOP conference chairman.

The California lawmaker took a decisive victory against Jordan, bringing in 159 votes to the Ohio representative’s 43 votes. McCarthy was initially elected to the House in 2006 and has served as the House Majority Leader since 2014.

McCarthy "knows what he needs to do," said GOP Whip Steve Scalise, the Louisiana Republican who was gravely wounded in last year's congressional baseball practice shooting and unanimously won the No. 2 spot as minority whip.

Every damn time one of these so-called House Majority Leaders get elected...they turn into the worse RINO POS imaginable: Boner, Ryan etc.

It’s like every time they get elected, there’s a ritual called ‘DRINK THE RINO DEEP STATE SERUM” and they become something worse..

The House minority is by far the weakest component in the government. There’s not much they can do but complain.

159 RINOs that need to go, unfortunately. McCarthy is going to be Ryan 2.0

We cannot catch a break.

Same old swamp. Same old RINOs. If anyone could be worse than Ryan it's McCarthy.

The GOP will continue to micturate on the People

McCarthy is a rino clone of Nancy Ryan. The republican party is as big of a joke as our elections.

Their kabuki act is not selling anymore.

When Trump leaves the political scene the Rs will become a perpetual minority party. And it won’t bother them one bit.

These are useless leadership posts for useless gasbags and losers unless they put together a huge effort to stop Democrat election fraud. They heed to have teams of lawyers etc who are ready to go, to be airlifted to districts with tight House races.

They need to hold seminars for House candidates on DemoCRAP election fraud.

McCarthy "knows what he needs to do," said GOP Whip Steve Scalise

Then why hasn't he done it yet?

Too bad. A CA Rep is an endangered species to begin with. Their days are numbered. Until then, the CA Rep will move further and further to the Left in the hope that they will be spared from extinction.

159 to 49? Jordan never had a chance. He must have seen it coming. I don’t think Jim Jordan made himself widely known.
Last summer was his last chance, and I did see much written about him after that fake involvement in a wrestler-scandal fizzed out.

I thought Scalise also was running. I guess that plan never got off the ground, in spite of everyone knowing his name.
