Yes! We are supposed to have rain for the next 3 days...*sigh*
I’m tired of icy roads. It is supposed to be winter with flocked trees.
They really aren’t that expensive. I ordered ours from Lowe’s and was pleased with the price. It’s worth looking into.
And who knows? One of these days you just MIGHT have to move to WY. LOL
Clara’s part of the house is closed off from ours but all rooms are open to each other in our part of the house. We do have the upstairs closed off though since we don’t use it.
Moogly doesn’t go to the vet for her test until Monday. She hasn’t felt too well today since she appears to have a tummy bug. She did eat a couple of bites at supper and kept that down so we’ll see how she does at midnight snack time.
The others are doing fine though they’ve been brats the past couple of days. They were all asleep for a while but are starting to stir now. *sigh*

LOL! Still a bit in shock over getting the Gold tonight. Not an easy feat.
The ducks fed, you fed, and now it’s recliner-and-blankie time?
After the storm windows adding blown-in insulation to the attic is the next best investment. Two years ago I invested about $2900.00 in boosting the attic insulation from R 20 to R 50.
The house is all-electric...and since then almost every bill has been lower or at worse equal to the final year before insulation despite utility rate hikes.
Insulated against inflation—LOL.

Well, we’d have to have them installed, so that might add to the price, but we really should look into it. We get more cold natured every year. NOoooooooo moving to WY! LOL!
Hope that little one gets a good report. And that she eats her midnight snack. Don’t tell my outside cats that there are snacks to be had. LOL! If they want one, they can kill a dove...aka as flying rats. :)

I’d love to be able to do that but we just don’t have the extra $$$ to do it. That’s why I need to win the lottery. LOL!

The original part of the house is heated by a large gas heater and the section added on is electric heat. The whole house is a mish-mash, but it’s home.

Winters in WY wouldn’t be fun at all. Pretty to look at on the cams but to BE there? Uh uh, nope!!
Moogly’s done very well since we started her on the third med. She’d dropped weight and has gained most, if not all, of it back. She’s looking and acting perkier now so the bug must be out of her system now. I need to go ahead and give her one of her midnight meds now because she takes it an hour before she eats. She gets the other one right after her snack. She missed the suppertime med because I figured it would come right back up. Missing it one day won’t hurt.

I’m tickled that she is better. Has to be such a relief to see her happy.
No going to WY. They will have to drag me there kicking and screaming. LOL! That amount of cold is unreal to me.
So far so good...lit the woodstove Wednesday night as a precaution in case someone leaves the road and takes out a utility pole.
Basement holding at 80 degrees and went through 21 pounds of water on the kettles today which means 21,000 “free” BTUs that otherwise would have gone up the chimney.
Sounds good....when do you get your tractor back? Are you the neighborhood plow guy?
She heard me rattle the pill bottle and came running so she’s definitely feeling better. She’s been drinking quite bit of water tonight and keeping it down and that’s great. With her kidney problems, she needs it. A little food shortly and she’ll feel even better.
I’m with you on the cold winters up there. I’m almost too far north as it is. LOL!
It IS nice watching the cams when there’s snow on the ground though. So pretty. And it’s kind of mesmerizing watching them smooth out the snow on the mountains at night to pack it down for the skiers.
LOL! Those will come in handy on nights like tonight!
