"Interestingly, some scientists have stated that increasing snow is consistent with climate change because warmer air holds more moisture, more water vapor and this can result in more storms with heavy precipitation. The trick, of course, is having sufficient cold air to produce that snow."

Really? I thought it was warm air.

So global warming is causing more snow?

Yes and more rain, and drought, and freezing temperatures and heatwaves and tornadoes, and hurricanes, and stifling windless days and...

Here in the Great White North, we get treated to the same sorts of stories about how winters in Ottawa and Montreal and elsewhere like that featured bigger snowdrifts back in the old days, etc. However, snow removal is now that great deal more organized than it was compared to say when the NHL had only six teams and you saw people in hats and overcoats even in the old Montreal Forum watching the games.

Of course, the University of East Anglia was ground zero for “Climategate”

Emails were discovered from the Climate Change group at U of EA which highlighted that they could not release the underlying data on climate change upon which they produced a damning report (see SamAdams76 above) on climate change. The underlying data was garbage.

If you haven’t read about it in detail (of course, never hear of it by the mainstream media!), it is worth some of you time!

Most storms are caused by warm air hitting cold air. It takes two to tango.

You know, at some point people are going to stop believing climate scientists and start believing their lying eyes.

It seems to me good old East Anglia has been awfully quiet as of late on globull warming! Whatever happened to their big GW proponent Phil Jones? (I think I have the name right!)

March 20, 2000: "According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”. “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said."

The science is settled.

Check the comments for this almanac story
https://www.almanac.com/content/predicting-weather-using-persimmon-seed
People nationwide are splitting open persimmon seeds and finding spoons. My neighbor did some and found spoons. Supposed to be a sign of a snowy winter on the way. We just had our first snow, 5 inches. North Texas just got snow. It seems persimmon seeds might be smarter and/or more honest than scientists.

Living in western Connecticut, I can attest to experiencing these “rare and exciting” events on a regular basis!

Wake me when Lake Mead is back to its historic high levels. Then I’ll consider if this was the snowiest decade.

But, Anthropogenic Climate Change has altered that*.
Now, according to a consensus of scientists, cold air can tango with cold air and birth a giant Nor’Easter with all types of gender confusion....er....precipitation.

Even what we call “rain” today will identify itself as snow or ice and entitle ENTIRE cities paid time off from work...even on the weekends, just to be fair.

* My tagline.

Hell, I guess the 3 inches of wet, sloppy white stuff on the ground today here in Essex County, MA, that caused a 2-hour school delay is a mass hallucination. Good to know.
