Even though millions of other voters saw that race on the ballot quite easily.

He needs to appoint somebody who is competent. His choice may not win in 2020 but will be in place for that election.

The voter fraud Genie is out of the bottle.

Perhaps enough people all around the country are sufficiently informed NOW to demand that voter fraud get cleaned up in the USA. ALL of the USA.

The media won’t say it but Nelson lost because blacks came out to vote for Gillum and Gillum alone. They didn’t give a crap which old white won the Senate race.

Only Dems can have hope of winning an election almost ten days after election day.

When the RATs got Al Frankenstein elected they figured they could get anyone (alive or dead) elected. Don’t blame them, blame the naive blowhards in the RNC.

My feeling is, that if you can’t look at a ballot with three columns, and actually go through the 3 columns, and instead just mark off stuff in the second column — I don’t think your vote is particularly informed.

Well, their guy Nelson lost, so they have to blame it on something. Why not the ballot design? Oh, pleeeaase!

What I'm really surprised at is that they didn't try to pin this loss on Trump somehow.

There is no way Mother Jones would admit to the fact that Nelson does not have any accomplishments in the Senate that he can hang his hat on.

Or that people are tired of dead weight like Nelson, who epitomizes a politician with a smiling face and stale liberal ideas that never work.

Nelson's days have come and gone.

Every county has their own races. Sometimes every district IN the county has their own races. Can’t have a statewide uniform ballot with local races being different everywhere.

I’ve seen the ballot. It has 3 columns, you start on the left and read down like with any newspaper, first you get the instructions, and then the votes start.

If you were stupid, you skipped the instructions, and then assumed that the ballot marking started in the 2nd column, and continued into the 3rd column, and then you completely forgot that you were supposed to vote for a senator.

Also, here in North Florida the recounts for Senator and Governor were done THREE times in St. Johns and Duval counties in practically no time at all and the vote totals for both only varied 2 or 3 votes. Not 2 or 3 thousand, not 2 or 3 hundered...2 or 3 votes.

Thanks for posting this story. It’s really good that FR does not ban articles from left wing publications. Sometimes they contain vitally important information like this.

Looks to me like a lot of black people voted against their basic economic interests and for Gillum just to stick with one of their own, but, when it came to two whites, decided not to vote for Nelson because of how well the economy was doing.

Because Broward is a heavily Democratic county

That's another way to say "Hell on Earth".

...Easy fix. The Legislature needs to mandate a uniform statewide ballot...

In most counties there are local issues: school bonds, local judges, county offices. A uniform statewide ballot will not work, or at least not the way we do elections now.

What might work is one ballot for statewide races, and a separate one for county issues. But then each person has to vote two ballots, and I am pretty convinced that a significant number will not understand this and will only vote one.

According to Dan Bongino, who lives in Florida, it’s not about the top of the ticket. It’s about the lower part of the ticket, for the Agriculture Secretary. The Agriculture Secretary has something to do with the distribution of guns and the Democrat is very anti-gun, while the Republican, Caldwell, is very pro-gun. Bongino says that the Dems are laying the groundwork for the 2020 elections where they will try to cheat on the lower ticket by distracting and challenging the top of the ticket.

I have friends/family in Broward county...I saw their sample ballot. The Senate race was on the first page of the ballot but on the bottom left. This MAY have accounted for people not voting in that race.

But, I can also tell you this: there were A LOT of black voters wearing Gollum t-shirts and who seemed SINGULARLY interested in voting to get a black governor. Race was what mattered—and they didn’t seem to care much about Bill Nelson.

I am convinced a lot of blacks went to the polls and found Gollum’s name, voted for him, and maybe one or two others and then moved on.

The ballot in Broward was huge. My friends had five or six pages to fill out, front and back. I don’t think many people cared about the smaller issues.

Hope for Nelson has not faded. The hope of many is that he is not the winner of this contemptible corrupt little Florida Castro managed process and this boil is forever lanced.

Florida IS CUBA.
