A Royal Navy submarine sank the Argentine cruiser General Belgrano during the Falklands War.

She was ex-USS Phoenix of WWII. We sold her to them in 1951. A light cruiser (6" guns). Over 300 men went down with her.

Bow blown off and sinking.

Brezhnev took Afghanistan.
Begin took Beirut.
Galtieri took the Union Jack.
And Maggie, over lunch one day,
Took a cruiser with all hands.
Apparently, to make him give it back
