Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has apparently decided to give a middle finger to Sen. Jeff Flake, the retiring Arizona Republican who says he'll vote against judicial nominees in committee and on the floor until McConnell allows a floor vote on his legislation to protect the Mueller investigation. At the end of the day Thursday, McConnell filed cloture on two of the very worst of Trump's nominees: district court nominee Thomas Farr of North Carolina and 8th Circuit nominee Jonathan Kobes. The votes will happen when the Senate returns after Thanksgiving.
Farr has been waiting for a vote since the Judiciary Committee passed him back in January. Farr "helped draft North Carolina's voter suppression law, defended racially discriminatory gerrymandering and may have lied to the Senate about his role in disenfranchising black voters when he worked for the late Sen. Jesse Helms." He's a nightmare, his history of voter suppression extreme. And he lied to the Judiciary Committee about it. The uproar following his success in the Judiciary Committee might be why McConnell has been reluctant to have the floor vote, but it's typical of him that he'll use it now to give a massive "f*** you" to Flake.

As we have seen in the past week, judges are the key to their gaining and retaining power (not the people) and they're seeing that advantage slipping through their fingers.
I can’t wait until one (or more) of those geriatric RAT Supremes assumes room temperature and President Trump gets to put some good people in there.
The RATS won’t be able to stop him, even if they vote in a block, and we’ve got rid of at least SOME of our butt-hurt anti-Trump morons in the Senate, like McCain and Flake.
Can’t wait to see the RATS have the melt-down of all melt-downs (well, until Trump is re-elected, of course).
It’s from the other side’s point of view. They’re very upset.
Have they been asked their opinion of Acosta? Judges are paid to have opinions.
The caravan will add votes against Trump, so he might not get re-elected.
Maybe he won’t run again. If they make things miserable for him why bother. He can say he was president. He actually has a job to return to unlike presidents before him.
“Worst” to a dimbulbcrat means the person actually got through law school without cheating, has a good intellect, doesn’t think that the law should be treated like jello, and would tell an LGBTWXYAZ clown that if they really think the laws should cater to them, just try ordering a wedding cake from a Muslim bakery.
any idea if Senate will “improve” in approving Trump nominees thanks to the defeat of the 4 Democrat Senators and GOP net gain of 2. (Sinema will be worse the Flake and Blackburn better than Corker)
Yes they are, along with the GOPe and the never-Trumpers. It was also imperative to increase the margin to offset the hissy-fitting Senators Collins, Murkowski, and Romney
“Worst??? Its from the other sides point of view. Theyre very upset.”
Exactly. It’s a sure bet if the DimRats are calling them the “worst” that these two picks are outstanding.
You go, Gamera!
“Maybe he wont run again.”
I believe he will, if just to keep poking his finger in their eye. With SCOUTS safe, and the BS declassified, exposing the dims for what they really are, Trump will have done his job. Anything else is pure gravy
I don't think he does. He gave up control of his holdings when he was elected.
Maybe he wont run again??? Anti Trumpers ought to be careful about what they wish for. If Pence became President, they would find out what a REAL CONSERVATIVE would be like.
The President does seem a little deflated after the mid-terms. I hope it is just fatigue. He’s no spring chicken and he busted his butt campaigning. He’s like the energizer bunny but he’s only human.
I think he has to run and win. If he bows out, these crapholes will hound him out of existence long after he leaves office. Just look at how they are hounding him over his hotel in DC. No, he has to run, he has to win and he has to drive enough stakes through their hearts to make them die. Assuming he has coat tails, his reelection should bring back the house, a house with like minded patriots. Two years of a house run by wacko lefties should demonstrate to the electorate the folly in putting these lunatics in charge of anything larger than a goldfish bowl.
Now tell me why I should give a rats a$$ what “newsok” thinks about things.
If you ask, 80% of Bolshekrats will say they want jOkeass for life.
