Khashoggi was an Islamist. I don’t think anyone SHOULD be murdered but it’s something that happens all of the time over there for political reasons and the world might just be a better place with one less WaPo columnist calling for the subjugation of women and Sharia Law.

I really don’t think America First means the USA dances to whatever tune that Saudi Arabia or Israel plays.
Think about the ramifications of a power vacuum in Saudi Arabia and what/who would fil it
Think of the collapse of a counter power containing Iran
Think about the collapse of a major player in global finance
Think about the collapse of the center of world energy markets
Think about the collapse of a power that has been quietly pragmatic about the role of Israel vs the Palestinians
Every power that is malign to the USA would welcome all of the above

Yep. That’s about the size of it. Actually I don’t have a problem with it nor have I ever had a problem with it as long as it is in our national interests.
This is very cagey. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. They are having me but if he’s treating them like a friend that’s fine because they are useful and he keeps them in check and uses them. That’s fine by me. He also uses them against worse enemies.

Jamal Khashoggi, was just another reporter and like most, will not be missed by me.
