Ann Coulter — Jared: The Birdbrain of Alcatraz
Breitbart ^ | 21 Nov 2018 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 11/21/2018 3:33:00 PM PST by Zhang Fei

For a wispy little fellow like Jared, of all the things life has given him to be embarrassed about, having to visit his father in prison has to rank pretty high. Surely we can come up with a better way for him to deal with the shame and humiliation of his father being a convicted felon than sentencing thousands of Americans to a new and dangerous crime wave.

Jared is the kind of moron who believes that the crime listed on a convict’s baseball trading card is the worst crime he committed.

Thus, we’re incessantly told that sentences will be cut only for “nonviolent drug offenders.”

If you are even passingly familiar with our justice system, you know that virtually everyone in prison is there as the result of a plea bargain — “97 percent of federal cases and 94 percent of state cases,” according to The New York Times.

You don’t strike a deal with the prosecutor to plea to the worst crime you’ve committed. You plea to the least serious offense.

Rape = indecent exposure

Armed robbery = illegal gun possession

Felony assault = disorderly conduct

You also plead guilty to the crime that can be proved unequivocally. Unlike witnesses, guns and drugs can’t be intimidated out of testifying.

So what does Jared’s bill do? It slashes the sentences for illegal possession of drugs and guns.

Trump ‘s attitude is, Yes, the sentencing reform bill is an idiotic idea that will do great harm to our country, but Jared’s been down in the dumps, so it’s the least I can do for the guy.

Americans will be murdered, raped and assaulted for the sole purpose of ensuring that Jared has something on his Wikipedia page other than: “Got into Harvard because his felon father gave the college millions

She’s exactly correct:

Witnesses wimp out, so they gotta lock the scum-bag up on the lesser charge or drugs:

“Snitches get stiches”

But talk to the guy in jail AND:

“Waaah..! I’m here in jail for doing something much like JFK’s dad did..!!!”

Yeah, right, WHAT A LIE...!

It’s a lie in like 99% of cases.

Those guys are almost always murderers.

She’s right.
I must have missed all those “unlock them all” rallys. Staggering waste of resources and position by JK.

Watch, there are going to be a ton of pot activists here soon, swearing that 90% of people in prison were clapped in chains for a single joint.

Brava Ann! Say what you will about Rudy Guiliani here, but his anti-crime policies led to a general reduction in crime. Nationwide.

We have to do something because the amount of money this costs local Counties is astronomical. I’m an advocate of special courts.. “Drug Court,” Veteran’s Courts, etc.

She is on target. Jared is a twit and the release and sentence reduction that he is getting through is not a victimless crime.

We are talking about crimes like drug possession. Going through drug court is not easy. I know that personally. It help people get straight, become active members of society and give back instead of learning how to be a worse criminal when they go to Prison. Again, Drug court is a very difficult program to complete. If they don’t, they go to jail. But why not give people a chance?

She’s one of just 46 people President Trump follows on Twitter and her tone is becomimg increasingly negative.

I fully agree on this issue by the way because Jared and Ivanka have liberal tendencies. Crime and prison analysis is a paramount to the safety of our citizens and national security. A true Conservative with clear acumen should have got this position.

Well, of course, Jared’s bill would reduce the sentences of those in prison, and as Ann points out, with plea bargaining the rule rather than the exception, many with “only” nonviolent drug convictions are really guilty of much worse.

But I do know that prison is often the only place where people get clean, because they are forcibly off of drugs for so long. And even then they are most likely to go back to their previous life and addiction at some point.

But I get where you are coming from. The drug problem we have is huge, and it makes sense to try lots of different ways to help people — until we have found ways that work seem to really work.

I’m glad to hear your testimony on that approach.

I am truly ashamed at the tone and negativity I’m reading on this page against Jared Kushner and by proxy, our President!

Classless!

Waste of time and money t use prison as a "drying out" facility...like you said, most will be back at it before the sun sets on their first free day.

I find it amusing that with so many 2n'd Amendment folks here, they agree with Ann on the "illegal possession of a gun" slant because they abhor drugs....they must think the gun possession thing doesn't/won't ever apply to them...even as we have cases of folks having their weapons removed because someone else tells the 'authorities" that they think the person isn't sane enough to have a weapon....

I sure do, but they also have occasional good articles, such as from VDH and AM.

You do have a capability to look beyond a simple conclusion about things—and then post to Freepers based on such, right????
