Me too. I got orders to Fort Drum, NY while I was in the Army. I called my branch and informed them that I would submit my retirement packet and get out if they didn’t change the orders and made me go to NY. I got orders to Fort Hood, TX a couple of days later. I have always had zero desire to go to NY.

NY is a very big STATE with a lot of rural areas. It is NOT one big city. It’s just that the majority of the population lives in the very small city part, and they are friggin’ nuts. But they control everything with their sheer numbers come election day.
