Beto O’Rourke is calling for the removal of a controversial Confederate plaque hanging in the Texas State Capitol building, tweeting on Tuesday to “take it down today.” The plaque contains the Children of the Confederacy’s creed, which is a statement that pledges “to study and teach the truths of history (one of the most important of which is, that the War between the States was not a rebellion, nor was its underlying cause to sustain slavery).”

I’m with you, but I would go on to say that the Confederacy was one of many Democrat temper tantrums that split the country. This one resulted in hundreds of thousands of Americans losing their lives.

That's why that plaque should remain in it's place. What you've been taught and what you currently believe might not be the truth. What gives YOUR version of "Truth" the right to deny others their version of the truth? North Good, South Bad. That's not history. That's total propaganda.
