There is nothing wrong with a multigenerational household. There is safety in numbers. And pawning our elderly off on the Government is cruel. Not to mention the risks a woman on her own faces.
After WW2 ended my father-in-law stayed in his parents home until her married at the age of 26. Ditto my father who was 25.
My mother and mother in-law also stayed home until marriage at ages 21 and 23.
My sister-in-law brought up her child in her parents home. Fifteen years in the house.
I don’t understand the hysteria of it all.
