Democratic sweep in California raises GOP suspicion
Associated Press ^ | November 30, 2018 | Michael R. Blood and Stephen Ohlemacher

A combination of recent changes in California’s election rules have lengthened the ballot-counting process and upended traditional voting patterns in a year that Democrats captured a string of U.S. House seats in the state.

Suspicious Republicans have pointed a finger at the state’s dominant Democratic Party, suggesting the changes intentionally left Republicans at a disadvantage.

Whether Democrats have a clear edge is debatable. What’s not is that vote counts in California now routinely stretch long beyond Election Day. A stunning five million ballots, or more than 40 percent of the overall total, were counted after Nov. 6. Some counties still are tabulating ballots.

The stream of later-counted ballots strongly favored Democrats, reversing what initially looked like winning margins for Republican candidates in high-profile House races.

In the former GOP stronghold of Orange County, Republican Rep. Mimi Walters ended election night with a 6,200-vote lead. But Democrat Katie Porter swamped Walters as the vote count continued, winning 58 percent of those tallied after Election Day on her way to defeating the two-term incumbent in the 45th District.

In was a similar case in the neighboring 39th District, where Republican Young Kim was hoping to become the first Korean-American woman elected to Congress. But her healthy election-night edge over Democrat Gil Cisneros vanished when Cisneros claimed 56 percent of the later votes on his way to taking the seat long held by retiring Republican Rep. Ed Royce. …

I can’t believe “Alotlike Pravda” is reporting this (though I haven’t read the entire article ... I’m sure they cover for the Dems).

S-T-O-L-E-N.

No voting results from California can be taken as serious, fair, or honest.

Not in 24 YEARS has a Republican defeated a Democrat incumbent in a federal race in California out of HUNDREDS of contests. That is not only a statistical impossibility, it is outright fraud. The Demonrats just stole over HALF of the remaining and badly underrepresented 14 seats in one shot in heavily GOP districts. This is absolute fraud and theft.

This stinks to high heaven!! It'd be nice we had an AG and Justice Department that gave a damn.

Vote Harvesting !

A very corrupt process where the party hacks come to your house and pick up your ballot.

What could possibly go wrong.

The question is what is Orange County going to do about it?

Something similar happened in California in 2016.

In 2016, the day after election, initial results showed Hillary had won California by about 1.8 million votes.

Now, it was no surprise that Hillary carried California, but , as counting countinued, her eventual margin was about 4.4 million votes.

So they found an additional 2.6 million Democrats votes after election day in California in 2016, which may well have tipped the balance in some elections that year also.

Fraud so blatant thateven the fossilized Republicans have caught on. Only votes from out of country military personnel, postmarked by election day, should be counted after Election Day. This ballot counting for a month after election day is setting the table for massive fraud in 2020.

Agreed. Whatever the dems say goes in the blue states. There is no rule of law. Scary stuff.

The ever-lying, useless, GOP knew and planned this
and is/was a part of this.

This claim is NOTHING but an attempt at
plausible deniability. Guilty.

We have electronic voting and you have to show your ID to vote. That’s here in Louisiana. Why are they using paper ballots?

Imagine a national popular vote with the GOP presidential candidate holding a million-vote lead or whatever, and then comes the excruciating slow-roll of California dumped votes over the course of weeks and weeks, and the Republican’s lead slowly dissipates and finally the vote counting ends right as the Democratic candidate pulls ahead, it’s a miracle!

I still remember MSNBC and CNN writing almost daily “Hillary Clinton’s national popular vote lead expands with more votes being counted in California” stories for like three full weeks after Clinton conceded the race on November 9, 2016.

California’s vote-counting system, its lax/non-existent voter ID requirements, illegal immigrants, etc. just kills the idea of a national popular vote. I’d almost not mind a national popular vote to determine the President if California didn’t exist, but they do, so nope, not a chance in hell.

So what. At this point the Dems could come right out and say that yes they’re stealing elections. Nothing is going to happen to them.

I read the whole AP article was was very disappointed the Republicans are not raising HELL about this. I realize CA is a leftist state and most, if not all, political positions are held by Democrats.

Still, voter fraud is illegal. Even in CA.
