>>Nope. He is a bigger man than you are.<<

If he was as big a man as you think he is he would not lower himself by honoring with his presence all of those Trump haters and American haters who will be there preening for the cameras. Fu*k ‘em all, and that includes the deceased.

That sounds hopeful. Maybe the surviving Bush’s have decided to be more grown up about this whole thing.
I get the feeling that Poppy Bush was the main one who held the most anger about Donald Trump. As far as GHWB thought, Trump ‘stole Jeb’s spot’ in the White House. He remained bitter to the end. His sons felt obligated to support him.
I know Jeb has his own source of bitterness too, but I really think the deepest well of Trump-Rage came from the elder Bush.

As well they should have been. And, I would imagine if Jimmy Carter should pass before January 20, 2025, that the Trumps would be invited to that funeral as well. I also hope that the Trumps do attend the service, even if PDJT is not asked to speak.

It’s perfectly fine for the family of some dead Senator to be petty about not inviting the President to a public service. It’s a different story for the family of a deceased former President to do the same.

At least that’s my opinion. Others here may and probably will disagree with me.

Nope. If it provides an opportunity to push the liberal agenda or to bash a Republican president (especially PDJT), expect some politization of the event - especially if you have both Hillary and Baruch in attendance.

Of course, outside the cathedral, the Left can be expected to put on a fully disrespectful display, as usual.

Bush family with decorum and class? Bush 41 said he was voting for Hillary. Bush 43 said he was voting for someone other than Trump. Jeb violated his pledge to support the nominee of the party. In fact, none of the Bush family endorsed Trump except George P., the grandson who was running for Land Management Commissioner.

How does it show class to refuse to support the duly nominated candidate of your party, the same party that supported the Bush family in its political ambitions? The nomination of Trump revealed how petty and small the Bush family really is. It really is about them and their thirst for power. They are globalists and archetypal Establishment who really have no real principles and ideological moorings. They are con men.

Bush 41 was the Forrest Gump of American politics. Despite only winning two House races, he was able to parlay thru resume building appointments his ascendancy to the WH on the coattails of Reagan. He unraveled the Reagan legacy and mismanaged foreign and domestic policy enabling Clinton to be President. Bush 41 doubled the cap on legal immigration to over a million a year that will eventually make the Dems the permanent majority party. And Bush 43 tried to hasten the transformation thru amnesty.

I agree. Politically, they are a bunch of @ssholes. I’ll write in Ronald McDonald’s name before I ever vote for another Bush. I’ll be open and proud about it, too. Does that mean I have no class? That’s basically no different than what the Bush family did to Trump.

” Fu*k ‘em all, and that includes the deceased.”

I’ll give ya an AMEN!

If anyone goes to a Funeral just to look good(?) - I really feel sorry for them. “This above all: To thine own self be true.”

I can’t find a flaw in that statement. Thanks.

No doubt elder Bush controlled W and probably was influential on Clinton too. PDJT denied him the control he would have had with JEB in office. We know that Reagan was not himself after the attempt on his life so PaPa probably had more Control/power then too !

I do believe you are on to something.

You were not the standard bearer of the GOP under three Bush Presidencies. Or the head of the RNC as Bush 41 once was. The Bush family has profited mightily by its association with the GOP. They had a duty and obligation to support the duly elected nominee of the party. Jeb even pledged to do so. Where is their honor and loyalty? They not only refused to endorse Trump, they worked actively against him.

Not only did they not support Trump, some of them said they were voting for Hillary. Bush 43 has voiced his criticism of the Trump presidency while remaining silent about what Obama did. And there has not been a peep out of them criticizing the attempted coup of Trump, the most serious political scandal in the history of the Republic.

Bush class and decorum? A heaping, steaming pile of BS. They are founding members of the Uniparty. Their friendship with the criminal Clinton family is disgusting and reeks of hypocrite when it comes to the treatment of Trump. The grifters hang together. Bush 41 got his multi-million dollar payoff from the Kuwaitis.

Actually, you are correct. The Bushes. most of them, are known to be very nice people personally. But their politics are obnoxious and devious. My case in point is their treatment of Dick Cheney. After GW left the office, very little did they mention Dick Cheney. And Dick Cheney knows dam well how the oligarchy works in the Nor Loch.

Oh they sent him well wishes and all that when he went in for heart surgery, but they despised his politics. Dick Cheney could be a bigger friend to DJT if he wanted to be. But Cheney health prevents him.

A reporter asked Trump if regretted all those mean things he had said about Bush. Trump said “Thank you very much” and ended the press conference.

It’s so obvious the media IS America’s greatest enemy.

He could have said “I wonder if Bush regretted and asked God for forgiveness for calling me a blowhard in his last book.”

I’d bet the Bushes discussed whether or not they would invite him.

...G.H.W. Bush was a patriot, flew 58 combat missions in WWII, was shot down, was head of the CIA, was a VP and the President...

He watched a big naval battle while he treated water after being shot down.

Speaking of Clinton, I’m sure he’s practicing his lip biting and fake tears, in the mirror ,right now.
