The Supreme Court refused Monday to hear a case arguing that a key law giving President Trump authority to build a border wall is unconstitutional.
The case was denied along with dozens of others in a list issued Monday, without explanation by the nine justices.

1. The democrats don’t want the wall because they want the illegal votes.
2. The Republicans don’t want the wall because they want to campaign saying they are in favor of the wall but are really democrats so see number one.
If greenies were really concerned about environmental impact, they’d be concerned about wind farms chopping up eagles.

The latest announcement of contract award was last Thursday, to start putting electronic gates into the gaps in the bollards left for roads around Brownsville, Texas.
In what seems to be the new norm for small awards (like the four miles in downtown El Paso), the first public notification was the day before groundbreaking.
35 gates are funded for installation, but this award was for the first seven, with an option for four more. Likely it was a small business set-aside.
I am still expecting another award soon South of McAllen, Texas. In November, two contract awards were announced to fill the gaps East and West of McAllen (RGV-02 and RGV-03), with work starting in February. The area in the middle (RGV-01?) has not been announced. It might have already been awarded to another vendor, who has just been more tight-lipped about it.
SLSCO got the other two awards around McAllen, so there may have been a desire or a need to get another vendor working as well.
Another thing I have noticed, is that some of the vendors so far have showed up early for work, once they receive their Notice To Proceed. Although the start of work for the new heavy levee wall barrier in the Rio Grande Valley is scheduled for February, I won’t be surprised if they show up next month (after Christmas). It is an easy way to improve their score as a performer, to help them compete for future work. Also, there are probably financial incentives built in for early delivery.

I know the big wind farm out by Palm Springs was delayed for nearly 8 years on the CA Condor, even though it does not range in the desert. The folks in Kali still call the wind turbines “Condor Cuisinarts”.

For those not paying attention, the pro-Trump, pro-border wall decision was made here in San Diego by Judge Gonzalo Curiel. He was the "Mexican Judge" Trump said couldn't make a fair ruling on the "Trump University" case because he was "Mexican".
Also, the law was passed at the end of Bush 43's term and the left was just fine with it through 8 years of Obama. Only when Trump was elected did they realize "environmentalism" was their best tool to stop/slow the wall. Arizona Democrat Rep Raúl Grijalva was driving this now slapped down lawsuit.

Trump voters, all 63 million (and MORE since 2016!) could all chip in a buck and we’d have onehelluva kitty to start off with! Use prisoners for free labor - heck, I can use a trowel or a shovel; I’ll help, too!

President Trump cannot be re-elected without building the wall. All his enemies know this and have been thwarting his efforts for two years. His task was made more difficult by the midterms, since the pathetic GOP sat on their collective “majority” ass.
