A bipartisan group of senators went against the White House Wednesday, introducing a resolution urging the Trump administration and the international community to blame Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the murder of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., a Trump ally, said the crown prince needs to be held accountable for Khashoggi's death after the CIA reportedly found with a "high confidence" he was linked to the Saudi royal family critic's disappearance following an Oct. 2 visit to the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul.
This resolution without equivocation definitively states that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia was complicit in the murder of Mr. Khashoggi and has been a wrecking ball to the region jeopardizing our national security interests on multiple fronts," Graham said in a statement, referring to the death of the U.S. citizen and Washington Post columnist. "It will be up to Saudi Arabia as to how to deal with this matter. But it is up to the United States to firmly stand for who we are and what we believe.
Except, see WashPost
Another extremely important issue being handled by the Senate.
There’s your “new” Flimsey Grahamnesty for you.
The slaves must do the bidding of their masters in the Media.
While I think that we should have nuked Mecca after 9/11, I really dont care if Saudi Arabia kills a Musllum Brotherhood terrorist. Not our problem. And I would like to know which Republicans that Trump helped have so quickly crossed him.
Idiots. Dangerous idiots.
They may well be putting the US in danger, over some terrorist.
Saudi Arabia is an important ally against Iran and terrorism.
No American cares about Khashoggi Ms. Graham.
Your first ever thread reply on FR...
.... I know I will probably take some heat for this but it should be pointed out that what most people in the Western World are misunderstanding is that the Murder of Khashoggi is just “Standard Politics” in the Middle Eastern countries. They live by a different code of conduct than most “Christian” Countries do. Most people in the West would be absolutely appalled by how things are accomplished in that part of the world.
‘Republican’ senators show more concern about a murdered muzzie brotherhood foreign national than the American people or the rule of law...let that sink in.
You do realize that the majority of the terrorists are from Saudi Arabia right? I’m not with any of them.
Lindsey Graham rebooted back to his root 1.0 software.
He should NOT be trusted to remain on the side of good, for at least a decade.
All of you who said he should be given the AG role were nuts.
Any time he is on the same side of any issue as Corker, you know he is still compromised.
Lindsey should never get his talking points from (CNN or CIA “sources” or the deep state). Boy is that a triple-redundant sentence!
Motive: Further complicate America’s and President Trump’s relationship with the Saudis.
Hey, it’s not like 400 Mexicans walked in and demanded asylum in El Paso today. Or not like in Arizona smugglers are dropping little bitty Mexicans over the fence.
It’s -literally- raining Mexicans. Mueller is out of control. The coup against our government by out intelligence agencies remains unchecked. British collusion with Hillary and British/Aussie interference in our elections remains hidden in FISA. The American revolutionary socialist party takes over the house in less than a month.
But yes, lets find out if the head camel jockey throwback killed the other one. Morons.
“Most people in the West would be absolutely appalled by how things are accomplished in that part of the world.”
Hold my beer—The clintons
Whenever Lindsey comes out of a CIA meeting he acts like got MK Ultraed lol
“referring to the death of the U.S. citizen”
Kashogi was NOT a US citizen, merely a permanent resident, and should not have been even that, given his connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. He may have been a terrorist agent in the US.
Where’s the Saudi condemnation of the murder of Seth Rich?
And of Max Hastings?
And of Andrew Breitbart?
Motive: Further complicate Americas and President Trumps relationship with the Saudis.
It’s about generally weakening POTUS hand in foreign affairs. Especially with regard to the Obama-Corker Iran Deal. Grahmnesty is fighting hard for Corker and Obama here, no doubt.
You’re among realists at FR. No heat here.
