Vermont and Florida, both states with GOP governors, increased the age to purchase all firearms, including long guns, to 21. The anti-gun movement has clinched some wins, but South Dakota could be the next state to adopt a constitutional carry. Republican Congresswoman Kristi Noem won the state’s gubernatorial race this year and said that concealed carry without permits could be on the table.

So, just how red is SD? How long before the forces of evil sneak in and build a shift? Good on the Gov if it happens.

Its gonna happen

Constitutional carry used to be limited to Vermont. Now several states have it.

Every state that passes this constitutional principle puts Texas to shame.

Weird I gotta ask permission to use one of the rights guaranteed NOT to be infringed on. Well, I’m supposed to seek permission.

With a new demodummie governor, Wisconsin will soon be seeing a push to repeal our existing CC. Thank the Lord the Conservatives control both the house and senate. Then again, it may only be a matter of time.

We just had a con carry bill introduced into the GA statehouse and our incoming Governor has pledged to sign it if it passes. I’m not optimistic but it could happen.

I have CCW, and would like to carry OWB instead of Appendix carry IWB, I don’t see the big deal, every security guard and cop carries that way. In FL. its hot and uncomfortable and carrying OWB without hiding it under a jacket would not only be more comfortable, but it would have a deterrent effect on crime.

We keep getting shooting crimes by mentally ill and terrorists, better that they see they won’t be getting away without getting shot.

Also, deploying your gun is faster OWB.

My sweetie moved her charter helicopter business out of SD lock stock & barrel after the failure to pass constitutional carry was killed by the previous governor. No more business taxes, no income tax, no fuel taxes, not evewn the license plates on her 3 land vehicles.

Free carry, or not a penny in taxes!

In Wyoming, the weather is such that about half of the year, I like to have an open [unzipped/snapped/buttoned] jacket on to protect my handgun from the weather; it's less about concealment than coverage. And after more than 50 years of working with the old Army M3 shoulder holster, a shoulder rig, often a M3, tends to be my preference more often than not.

But like a lot of cops and security guards, I am not at all inconvenienced by carrying a second, seriously concealed handgun as well. And there's usually a decent rifle or shotgun available in my truck, or in milady's truck or helicopter. It's bear country out this way, and the frequency of local incidents involving them has been on the increase.
