I am convinced that this country is going to head down the Socialist path.
Mainly because Winston Churchill was right. You can count on the American people to do the right thing, AFTER they have exhausted all of the alternatives.
Until we try and it FAILS it seems most of our countrymen will remain unconvinced.
I’m not so sure. We get to watch the implosion of the EU. The riots in Paris are directly due to unemployable migrants that need welfare and the raising of taxes on all the working class to fund it.
The left has two main ideas that are completely economically incompatible:
- Global warming solutions include less people on the earth, we need lower birth rates
- Socialism and all the never ending social programs can’t be paid for with a shrinking population
I don’t believe they see the contradiction. This is France on steroids because the only population is that is increasing is the one that is unemployable.
