Evidence of more incompetence and cowardice has been exposed from the Parkland school shooting. Seventeen students and staff were murdered on February 14, 2018, at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas School. I will not name the murderer.
You have probably read and remember the armed school resource officer, Deputy Scot Petterson, failed to confront the killer immediately. He did not run to the sound of the gunfire. Instead, he waited outside the school for others to come. Eventually, there were seven or eight deputies outside the school waiting. Officers from another jurisdiction showed up and immediately entered, but it was too late. All the killing was complete. The murderer had fled the scene.
Wikipedia says the murderer was carrying a duffle bag and a backpack. That is incorrect. The murderer was carrying a black rifle case, not a duffle bag.
It is a critical distinction, because Andrew Medina, a school security monitor, recognized the rifle case.
Andrew Medina stated the murderer was carrying a rifle bag, and he recognized it as such. He said this in a recorded interview, under oath, shortly after the shooting.
Link to interview video on twitter
He was the first person recorded to see the murderer enter campus. He stated that he had been previously briefed; that the murderer was the most likely student to shoot up the school and that he recognized him.

I kept a running account in my website with FR links and have kept it as a lead because it should have been the story instead of allowing the media’s running attack on the NRA and guns; http://www.theusmat.com/index.htm

Ah, the total incompetence of a liberal county. Police, schools, election officials, etc.
Hmmm, perhaps I mistyped. Total corruption would fit more closely.
Keep their names close at hand. Keep plans for the guillotine available. Revolution II will occur, and we’ll do what has to be done.

Scot Petterson probably got another 10 students killed due to his cowardice!

Its as if they allowed it to happen to fulfill an agenda, which is to clamp down on gun rights for law abiding citizens.

Hmmmmm? Did the Chief give a stand down order? Is this kinda like a mini Benghazi? Wait, lets see what he has in mind first? It took an outside PD to go in there? If I was mayor, I’d have a whole new PD by now made up of former 11Bs.

My thoughts exactly. The trend can be seen in the nearly countless occasions when law enforcement drones are aware of, have actually detained, or have investigated those who later commit these shootings, but let them walk. Tsarnaevs, the Pulse shooter, Thousand Oaks, and so on. For those of us who don’t believe in coincidences where leftist politics are concerned, it seems pretty clear.

It does not fit their narrative, that gun owners, the Second Amendment, and the NRA are the ones to blame.
Show the murders could have been prevented by people simply doing their job, and enforcing the laws already on the books, removes the argument for more infringements on Second Amendment rights.

A gun case/bag sure doesn't look like a "duffel" to me. And I'm not a gun owner.
But, blaming crap security wouldn't fit the narrative that it's all the NRA's fault.

From the Miami Herald 0-
Medina, 39, is a baseball coach and monitor whose chief job is to make sure gates are locked, or opened for dismissal, while watching for intruders or students trying to leave. In an interview with the Sun Sentinel, which obtained a transcript of his statement, Medina last week denied he recognized Cruz or that staff had met about him. That claim is contradicted by the video of his talk with detectives.
Strange his police witness interview is so different from his newspaper interview...

It's not just a county, but a country under liberal, socialist control and or influence.
We here in FR tend to look for "hard wiring" when we try to analyze a situation, but no one in theis entire event was or is anyone really uppity up big wig, just normal folks with jobs to do, and therein is the rub.
They actually did their job

*Correction* Andrew Medina was a security monitor before the sexual harassment case. He was given a three day suspension and returned to his former position. Thus, my speculation about the bureaucracy in this case does not directly apply. Andrew Median was subsequently fired from his job at the Marjory Stoneham Douglas school in June of 2018, five months after the shooting.
