A recent Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation survey found that 51 percent of American Millennials would rather live in a socialist or communist country than in a capitalist country.

Young people who weren’t alive during World War II and its Cold War aftermath might be forgiven for not knowing the horrors of socialism. Some of their beliefs represent their having been indoctrinated by their K-12 teachers and college professors. There was such leftist hate for former President George W. Bush that it’s not out of the question that those 32 percent of Millennials were taught by their teachers and professors that Bush murdered more people than Stalin.
America’s communists, socialists and Marxists have little knowledge of socialist history. Bradley Birzer, a professor of history at Hillsdale College, explains this in an article for The American Conservative titled “Socialists and Fascists Have Always Been Kissing Cousins.” Joseph Goebbels wrote in 1925, “It would be better for us to end our existence under Bolshevism than to endure slavery under capitalism.” This Nazi sentiment might be shared by Sen. Bernie Sanders and his comrade Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Goebbels added, “I think it is terrible that we and the Communists are bashing in each other’s heads.”
When the tragedies of socialist regimes — such as those in Venezuela, the USSR, China, Cuba and many others — are pointed out to America’s leftists, they hold up Sweden as their socialist role model. But they are absolutely wrong about Sweden. Johan Norberg points this out in his documentary “Sweden: Lessons for America?” Americans might be surprised to learn that Sweden’s experiment with socialism was a relatively brief flirtation, lasting about 20 years and ending in disillusionment and reform.

By the time they awaken from their slumber (in 30 or 40 years), it's going to be too late.
AND has enormous appeal for losers, mal adjusted, misfits and the uneducated.
Mere words, as is usual for progressives. Symbolism over substance is their motto, ignorance is their practice.

They may have liked it less if we hadn't handed them a system that pretty much requires them to go into perpetual debt in order to have a chance at a decent job. The tab for a year at Hillsdale is $30K.
Mercifully, Republicans still have the edge with the white Millennial vote so there's hope yet for a few of them.

There’s a reason the Snowflakes love Bernie. The brainwashing of these kids was relentless. I just hope the economic reality of the world wakes them up before they get enough power to destroy the country.
Unfortunately whites are a diminishing part of that demographic, and even many of them don’t see communism as an assault on private property - they have little, and don’t expect to get very much (ever). Religious opposition to communism probably doesn’t even exist with millennials, as religion itself doesn’t.
Communism is thwarted when productive people see it as theft of their wages/property; don’t expect much opposition from a group with little of either. Until their economic prospects aren’t so dim, understand why they think capitalism fails.
Most of their lives they had things handed to them on a silver platter.
Getting things for free is normal for them.
Wait till they experience the first real downturn.

Both miseducated and stupid.
Te vast majority of children grow up having everything handed to them. When they age out of mom’s basement they are supposed to understand they are no longer children and have to act like adults. A portion of these tall children don’t want to get it. These are the children who think someone else will always pay for them and the Democrats step up to lie and tell them voting Democrats means everything will be free. There is no mystery to this.

Definitely in the 60s. The communists were able to easily move into positions of prominence and influence via our universities and politics amid the hubris of protests, equal rights, feminism, etc. It was a perfect climate for them. Nobody even noticed. Or cared.
