Two cases of HIV transmission through breastfeeding in mothers with undetectable viral load reported

Two cases of HIV transmission from mother to infant during the breastfeeding period when mothers had an undetectable viral load have been reported by PROMISE, a large international study of the effectiveness of antiretroviral treatment in preventing vertical HIV transmission.

The findings were presented in a poster at the 22nd International AIDS Conference in Amsterdam in July.

Earlier this year an international group of researchers called for more research to determine if HIV can be transmitted through breast milk even if the breastfeeding mother has an undetectable viral load in blood. Swiss doctors have argued that pregnant women with HIV should be informed of the uncertain evidence about the risk of transmission during breastfeeding, and rather than being prohibited from breastfeeding while taking antiretroviral drugs, should be supported to breastfeed safely through regular viral load testing and education about factors that might increase the risk of transmission, such as mastitis.

So, that cat's out of the bag. "Undetectable" viral loads are no safeguard against transmitting the AIDS virus.

Wait, what? Breastfeeding is dangerous to the baby when the mother has HIV? Who would have guessed? The important question: which is more important - another innocent baby’s life or the narrative that HIV is no big deal?

“Just a pill a day,” we’re told. Like your vitamin pill.

The use of the word “undetectable”...is misleading. It means the test they use is NOT sensitive enough to detect viral load < 40 copies per ml(in this study)...It doesnt mean that the virus is absent. Of course you are gonna get transmission. If the load is 39 and undetectable you are safe...if 41 it is detectable and you are not safe. How incompetent can they be? Stupid scientists and free needle sharing and loving victims and villains involuntarily conspiring to slowly commit societal suicide. Please dont forget...hiv inserts its genes into human genomes for later expression.

Oh, I’m fully aware of the misleading terminology. Sodomites love it because it gives them some semblance of cover and justification to keep doing what they did to contract and or spread the virus in the first place.

“U = U” they call it. I call it murder.

How long until “undetectables” demand that they be allowed to donate blood?

More than that..in certain parts of Africs it was believed that if an HIV positive male had sex with a virgin female...he would be cured. Also...if you check cdc statistics...HPV (human papillovirus) anal and oropharyngeal cancer rates are going higher(male and female) also....like I said..involuntary societal suicide...

Breast is best only from a healthy mama. If mama isn’t healthy, or adopted, etc, the best is Weston A Price’s raw milk formula recipe.

Yes, I would think that a true mother wouldn’t take the risk of breastfeeding when afflicted with AIDS, but who knows what our PC “professional” doctors are advising them.

What kind of sick would a mother have to be to risk passing AIDS to their baby?

With this group, they operate as if they are driving with only their rear view mirrors. Reactive living.
