Ballot-harvesting, not just for California anymore...
American Thinker ^ | December 7, 2018 | Edward Ring

Posted on 12/07/2018 6:07:16 AM PST by NYer

California looks like a lost cause for Republicans, given how Democrats clinched the midterm with a series of new laws.  Maybe no big deal, given that California has been a solid blue state for something like 20 years.  But are Americans aware of the potential for California vote-rigging to come to their states, making them so blue that no conservative will ever be able to win an election?

A California political operative, Edward Ring, writing in American Greatness, lays out the coming spectacle:

Three laws in particular combined to stack the deck against Republicans.  First came the Motor Voter law.  This meant that as soon as any California resident acquired or renewed his driver's license or state ID, he would be registered to vote automatically.  Second, the state legislature authorized counties automatically to send absentee ballots to voters, even if they had not requested those ballots.  Third, the rules governing ballot custody were changed so that anyone could turn in absentee ballots, not just the actual voter.

The opportunities presented by these three laws were fully exploited by Democrats.

Democrats are salivating in other states to put these measures through, Ring notes. They made gains in the last election, with six new legislative houses and several governorships, and now completely control 14 statehouses, including governor and upper and lower houses, so those states are likely to see the same kind of electoral rigging as California, via new laws.

Maine is going to get it. Washington is going to get it. Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico are going to get it. So are Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Rhode Island. Some, such as Washington and Colorado, likely already have at least some of it, according to various posts on Twitter.

Republicans better wake up ... fast!

Voting ought to be an ACTIVE undertaking, from start to finish. NEVER passive.

YOU actively register. YOU prove that you are eligible. YOU get your azz to the polling place at the proper time. YOU inform yourself of the candidates, races and proper methods of voting. YOU be prepared to identify yourself at the polling place.

I can see an (eventual) Democratic congress and president mandating this by federal law.

A California political operative lays out the coming spectacle of marauding Democrats' inflicting vote fraud on a peaceful nation:

<><> enacting Motor Voter laws---a resident acquiring or renewing driver's license or state ID is automatically registered to vote.

<><> authorizing absentee ballots be sent to voters, even if not requested.

<><> legalizing "ballot harvesting"---anyone could turn in absentees, not just actual voters.

I was thinking about ‘ballot harvesting’ last night and was reminded of a similar scenario—cheating on standardized tests by school staff. A big scandal erupted in Georgia (Atlanta?) where the ‘award-winning’ superintendent put pressure on principals to see that their schools scored well on state-mandated tests. The principals in turn put pressure on teachers to have parties where they would gather to change students’ answers to correct ones.

Schools appeared to have made remarkable progress with schools jumping from failure status to excelling. But they were too greedy. The stunning turnaround raised suspicion and finally teachers admitted to the fraud. Some went to prison although as I remember it, the superintendent in question dropped dead.

Is there a way to investigate the ‘miracle turnaround’ in Orange County California House races where ‘harvested ballots’ changed the result of six contests? Did the harvesters get too greedy? Of course since democrats control the levers of power in California an investigation is unlikely. But if 90% of harvested ballots are Democrat in a nominally Republican precinct that might be a tip-off.

If they are willing to cheat on school achievement tests, you know full well they are willing to cheat on getting control of Congress.

In the case of Cali all offices and depts that would be involved in an investigation are run by dims so NO there would never be an investigation!

Note that every one of those states are already controlled by democrats and don’t send many Republicans to Washington or the state house.

It is alarming, but why can’t we use it, too?

I remember last year in Alabama when Roy Moore lost to Doug Jones over unsubstantiated claims of sexual misconduct; re: dating teenagers when he was in his early 30s and some lies about assault. The end result was over HALF of the Republican voters for Trump in 2016 stayed home in 2017.

Suppose we could’ve gotten all of THEIR absentee ballots and sent them in? Doug Jones, the Chuck U Schumer sycophant, would have LOST.

When those laws were passed, there were enough leftist crooks to pass them. The root of the problem is the lack of old fashioned American morality.

Voters should be required to vote in person before the polls close in every state.

The problem is that there are now, or soon will be, sufficient leftist crooks in other states to also pass voter suppression laws like those in Caliph-phony-a. Before you know it, there will be enough crooked Democrat states to add up to more than 270 electoral votes, and the country might as well pack it in, or get the guns ablazin'.

......‘ballot harvesting’ reminded of a similar scenario—cheating on standardized tests by school staff. A big scandal erupted in Georgia where the ‘award-winning’ superintendent put pressure on principals to make sure their schools scored well on state-mandated tests. The principals then put pressure on teachers to have parties where they would gather to change students’ answers to correct ones.......

Good point....there were huge repercussions to that school scenario.

REFERENCE The 1980 Georgia General Assembly was concerned about the increasing sophistication of various criminal elements on the public payroll (and those in elective and appointive office). The Georgia General Assembly then adopted the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), patterned after a similar federal law. (RICO is routinely used to try to prove that a legal business was being used for illegal means, and, in at its inception, RICO was used to prosecute drug traffickers or organized crime members).

In recent years prosecutors have applied RICO to crooked government officials: (1) those accused of using their public offices for personal gain, and, (2) tax-paid officials of govt agencies using public monies to flout the law.

To bring a case under Georgia's RICO law, there must be at least two underlying felonies such as fraud, bribery, witness tampering (among other felonies). RICO allows prosecutors to include multiple defendants charged with various crimes in the blanket indictment, and to charge that govt employees, publicly-funded and publicly-sanctioned entities were allegedly part of an ongoing criminal enterprise.

EXAMPLE A govt official commits two felonies by (1) accepting, and, (2) filing falsified documents.

UPDATE Georgia tried convicted and jailed 27 corrupt teachers under this law.....for falsely taking public money, falsifying official school records, and so on.

Conniving Democrats’ are on the attack.

When Republicans lose they graciously concede and the race is over.

When predatory Democrats lose, the mobilize the heavy artillery —— their heavy duty voter fraud tanks-—
they roll over anyone standing in their way until the seat is in their hands.

As FReeper KNARF insightfully posted: I haven’t seen “the Democrat party” as a political arm in a long time.
All we’ve been subjected to is gauntlet after gauntlet thrown down.......
they’re an aggressive army challenging a peaceful nation....a nation they despise.

Democrats abandoned their role in the two-party system of checks and balances.
Democrats have morphed into an invading army......trailed by a bunch of camp followers.

Is there a way to investigate the ‘miracle turnaround’ in Orange County California House races where ‘harvested ballots’ changed the result of six contests? Did the harvesters get too greedy?

It was perfectly legitimate ... another diabolical democrat scheme to ensure their election. Consider how this was done:

In a scathing commentary on just how rigged California’s election laws have become, former California State GOP Chair Shawn Steel wrote, “California Democrats have systematically undermined California’s already weak voter protection laws to guarantee permanent one-party rule.” In addition to automatic voter registration, automatic sending of absentee mail-in ballots, and legalized vote harvesting, Steele itemized additional ways the Democratic legislature has rigged elections in California.
They have legalized pre-registration for 16- and 17-year-olds, based on the accurate assumption that these youths, products of leftist indoctrination in California’s K-12 public school system, will vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. They have legalized the right for convicted felons and, in some cases, prison inmates to vote, based on the accurate assumption that these cohorts tend to favor Democrats. They have even passed laws in some California cities that permit noncitizens to vote in local elections.

Since they can' get elected through traditional means, they have now rigged the system.

“Voting ought to be an ACTIVE undertaking, from start to finish. NEVER passive.”

But now that it isn’t, how are we on the right going to respond?

If this comes to fruition, our Republic is finished. We will have a one-party tyranny run by criminals and we follow the path of the Soviet Union.

This scheme is that dangerous.

This scheme is that dangerous.

I agree ... but it was totally legal. Democrats know that if their true agenda were revealed, their voter base would shrink, so they resort to "legal" schemes to ensure their continued election.

I am a life long resident of NY. I love NY but hate what the democrats have done to my state. My personal situation is such that I cannot move. From what I saw in this past election, the democrats have figured out how to turn red states, blue. Unless the feckless GOP addresses this situation, we can all anticipate a future under democrat rule.
