My DNS ip address software stopped working. My ip4 hardware settings on my nic were changed to Googles DNS. The DNS software runs everytime I boot that PC. It stopped working a few days ago so it happened recently. I think that it was Google Earth.

I would not have knowingly allowed this because it would break my my DNS filtering service.

I was very surprised at how easily it happened. Once you control someone’s DNS, you can block sites that you deem unworthy.

"My DNS ip address software stopped working."

I want to make sure this doesn't happen to me. You obviously are way more knowledgeable than me. I guess if I check the DNS settings in my router it would be obvious? I don't think I even have DNS software. The router is the only place I know of that stores DNS locally.

Google is way more evil than I ever imagined and I have a strong imagination. That seems criminal to me and it has Google's name right on it. Talk about in your face!
