The Dems are up sh**s creek with this one. They take a risk leaving Whitaker there.

Barr will be confirmed. He held the position before.

Not the time for the Dems to play games....and the Repubs have the votes.

== = = = = = = = = = = =

Also, there is NO way they can ‘tear down’ Barr without dissing all the ‘nice things’ they have been saying about GHWBush.

And, as it has been pointed out, PDT could nominate Pelosi or Schumer for a GOOD position and the LIBs would turn on them.

The Rs that are serious should be taking all these gems the LIBs are spewing out and use them in the next election...

Like the LIBs are wont to say- never let a good crisis go to waste.

I had serious doubts aboiut Barr until I read his Wikipedia entry. Now I'm more favorable.

He served as HW's AG from May of 1990 until Nov. 26 1991, during which time Clarence Thomas was nominated to the Supreme Court and confirmed, something that wouldn't have happened without his support. At his confirmation hearings he gave the opinion that Roe vs. Wade was improperly decided. Then, at that time, overall, "the media described Barr as staunchly conservative. The New York Times described the 'central theme' of his tenure to be: 'his contention that violent crime can be reduced only by expanding Federal and state prisons to jail habitual violent offenders."

By the time the DemonShits finish smearing him with everything up to and including mass satanic child abuse, there's a reasonable chance he might make a good AG.
