Meanwhile, in the United States, NASA is still reeling from the limitations placed on it by eight years under Obama. Under Obama, NASA was redirected away from Space exploration to Muslim outreach.

They killed the moon base, the Mars exploration program, and the development of most manned space vehicles. The remaining vehicle was scaled down to pick up and study a dishwasher sized asteroid located in near-Earth orbit.

President Trump has proposed an increase in NASA funding to fund exploratory space excursions, but this has been rigorously opposed by the Democrats. Their argument is that by cutting funding now flowing to Muslim nations, they might get upset and start to be violent. The Democrats do not want to see televised angry Islamic mobs.

In their minds, by keeping NASA funding flowing to Islamic nations in the Mideast, world prosperity can continue flowing globally. The USA would be recognized as the source for all this free goodwill.

With its Chang’e 4 mission, China hopes to be the first country to make a soft landing, which is a landing of a spacecraft during which no serious damage is incurred.

I think they are missing a qualifier here.

“It has a different composition than sites on the near side”

That’s because the side facing us is reflective; the backside isn’t. And since the moon doesn’t rotate, we always get lit up by it.

Actually, the Moon does rotate, albeit very slowly.

If it didn’t, the “dark” side would be visible as it circles the Earth. The “dark” side isn’t actually dark. We just can’t see it when it faces the Sun.

The moon rotates at exactly the same rate it circles the earth, thereby keeping the same face towards earth at all times. There is no “dark side”, just an “away side”.

The phases of the moon are exactly the opposite to what we see on the “away side” (the side we never see) of the moon.

There is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact, it’s all dark.

But what about when Neil Armstrong planted the flag on Mars?

A Democrat told us all about that one.

Won’t be easy transmitting data back to Earth from the far side

It rotates once per orbit. Thus, the same side always faces Earth

LOL!

The main problem with Chinese spaceflight is, the rocket has to stop every once in a while, and the taikonauts have to suit up, exit the vehicle, float around with their hands over their heads, and then reenter the vehicle, button up, and start going again.
