There are realities about this most of the news is ignoring. The caravan is in Mexico, not the United States. It is directly causing problems for Mexico and only indirectly for the U.S. as a political prop. Mexicans are slowing catching on they are being used for political theater. If the Mexican government is really serious about putting its foot down, this is going to end before the majority of the caravan reaches the border.

And, he'll get Mexico to pay for it.

“How about building a wall?”

It appears that US are oblivious to “WHY” after about 170-years, the last 10-20 years reveal a need for a wall.
What changed? My best observation is that it’s Mexico and points south that have a problem.
To me, our problem is simply other nations want US via cultural devolution and open-ended purse strings to solve their problem. Irony is that their problem goes unsolved if not metastasizing.
How about our President politely & quietly telling their Presidents - ‘mano a mano’ - “you best get your s**t together and fix your domestic problems”.
In object lesson style, bankrupting, or worse, the cartels and perhaps a few recalcitrant individuals will go far to reestablishing order.

More BS from Mehico. I guess they are getting enough traffic from China and the Middle East to keep their Government running.

They do not need greasy border hoppers from South of them anymore

Maybe what they'll do next is march back to the US Consulate and demand delivery of trailers, with running water and electricity.

I can tell you EXACTLY how long it will last.

As long as Mexico understands that they will involuntarily become a settlement destination rather than just a pass-through country.

...the new administration will end the practice of undocumented or illegal crossings over the Suchiate River, which marks much of the border between Mexico and Guatemala.

The Mexican Rio Grande.
