Who did they sell The Weekly Standard to?Nobody.
They tried to unload it, nobody wanted it.

Steve Hayes was a jerk. First class pompous know it all asshat. George Will and of course Kristol too.
Fred Barnes, was pretty much a pro-Trumper, but very hard to listen to him speak. So many vocalized pauses, as bad as the young guy they have on Fox News a lot now and then, who likes Trump.

Bill Kristol is such a despicable ... human being. Even that is hard to fathom, but biology is what it is.

In a statement posted to Twitter, Hayes said he was "profoundly disappointed in the decision to close The Weekly Standard," writing that its "unapologetically conservative" voice was "needed now more than at anytime in our previous 23 years."This rag was never conservative!
The Weak-kneed Standard has always been a publication full of Democrats wearing RINO suits pretending to be Conservatives.
Long live the Deplorables who realize the difference between what is real conservatism and a cheap fake masquerading as it.

I miss Fred and Eleanor Clift going at it on the McLaughlin Group.

I know mentioning the BSA here seems irrelevant, but please bear with me. Last night Fox News ran a brief ticker piece that said the BSA was faced with many sex abuse cases from the 1965 - 1985 period that are part of the reason for its contemplating bankruptcy. With the general public now discovering that it has as bad a child sex abuse problem as the RC Church, I suspect that most recent disclosure will cause a mass exodus of most of its remaining members, driving it into a rapid bankruptcy.

As I understand it the nickname has nothing to do with the Fab 4—it’s the “beadle”
>>A beadle, sometimes spelled “bedel”, is an official of a church or synagogue who may usher, keep order, make reports, and assist in religious functions; or a minor official who carries out various civil, educational, or ceremonial duties.

A very happy day, the end of the Neo-Con rag.

Does this mean that Bill Kristol is now officially irrelevant, and well no longer have to see his rictus grin on tv anymore?

Even Newsweek got sold for $1. You'd think he owners could find someone who would pay them $1 for it.

I suspect everyone at The Weekly Standard knew the jig was up in 2016 when Yeb Bush dropped out of the race with all of THREE delegates to his name.

....when Yeb Bush dropped out of the race with all of THREE delegates to his name.Yeb!, the great RINO hope, got exactly the respect he deserved in 2016.
Here's a joke I read somewhere the week of Poppy - Deep States funeral:
George Sr. decided after 2016 that when he finally passed away he wanted Jeb! to be a pallbearer at his funeral that way he could let Poppy down one last time.

I hope none of them ever want to run for office, NDAs are disqualifying.

Or the hilarious meme someone posted on a hockey fan website recently:
"George H. W. Bush, like his late wife Barbara, simply got tired of waiting for the New York Rangers to win another Stanley Cup."
LMAO.
