Most Americans against becoming more 'politically correct:' poll

The poll carried out bt the Marist Institute for Public Opinion showed that 52 percent of Americans did not want public discourse to become more PC, including a majority of independent voters.

The mood reflects what President Donald Trump and his supporter have railed against, arguing that political correctness -- the desire to not use language which minority groups may find offensive -- had limited their right to say what they really want to say.

What is strange is how the people are against becoming politically correct, yet politicians seem to be trending toward becoming more politically correct. Why the disconnect?

We’re certainly paying for our kids to attend them at many colleges. They’re teaching emotional reasoning, mentally ill thought patterns and political dogma instead of actual content.
