Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), chairman of the Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management (FSO) Subcommittee for the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC), released his 2018 Festivus edition of The Waste Report, an ongoing project cataloguing egregious examples of waste within the U.S. government.

Dr. Paul’s Festivus Waste Report, now in its fourth year, shines a spotlight on some of the wasteful spending and misplaced priorities that have helped the federal government place taxpayers on the hook for a debt that is rapidly closing in on $22 trillion.

Highlights include: providing over $76 million in stipends to soldiers in the Somali National Army, devoting over $650,000 to develop a drama series to air in Afghanistan, spending up to $1 million on helping support and develop the legislative process in Libya, and setting aside $18 million to support tourism in Egypt.

You can find Dr. Paul’s 2018 Festivus edition of The Waste Report, which totals up over $114 million in waste, below:

$76 million in stipends to soldiers in the Somali National Army
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that Minnesomalia is electing Somalis to Congress, that’s likely to increase.
Who’s idea was this?
Did he list Piglosi’s liquor bill she shoved onto the US taxpayers??
Did he list the sex slush fund perps in the US Congress?
Help me out and list others deserving of an award for being an amoral, corrupt, two-faced political hack sucking off the taxpayers.
If it's an actual "Festivus," does that mean we have to wrestle, and air our Greivences after we gather around the Aluminum Pole?
That episode played yesterday. Tilted, The Strike.
Kramer on strike at the bagel shop.
George has the fake Christmas cards. The human fund.
Elaine wants a free sub sandwich.
Jerry dates the ugly girl.
Classic. A Festvus for the rest of us.
The lower end of the chattering political class is so gullible. Falling for the Libertarian scheme to help Iran will precede a stealth policy for even more open borders, worse trade deals and more global corporate surveillance against everyone.
