Roy Moore 2017 votes in Alabama: 651,972
651972/1318255 = 0.495, i.e. less than half

Moore became an embarrassment. I knew of no one that would publicly admit they were voting for him in the general. Even if you throw out ALL of the accusations you still have a 10 commandments zealot who dated underage girls when he was in his 30s. Legal? Sure but there’s the creep factor.
He was a one-trick pony, a terrible speaker and a lousy candidate. I supported Mo Brooks in the primary but he was not exactly dazzling and got trounced. Luther Strange was like one of those slick used car salesmen. Slim pickins.

Yes, the main problem was the backstabbers in the Republican party like Richard Shelby, Jeff Flake, and for that matter, the Republican national leadership who pulled his funding and made it appear as if the accusations were believable.
But the enemedia is what started the process for the backstabbers to exploit.
Moore would have won had Republican officials just shut their f***ing mouths and left it up to the people of Alabama to decide without interference from sources outside of Alabama.
