Posted article for this reason: !!! PERSPECTIVE !!!

During the September 11 attacks of 2001, 2,996 people were killed (including the 19 hijackers) and more than 6,000 others injured. These immediate deaths included 265 on the four planes (including the terrorists), 2,606 in the World Trade Center and in the surrounding area, and 125 at the Pentagon. - Wikipedia.org

President Bush:

Thank you all. I want you all to know -- it [bullhorn] can't go any louder -- I want you all to know that American today, American today is on bended knee, in prayer for the people whose lives were lost here, for the workers who work here, for the families who mourn. The nation stands with the good people of New York City and New Jersey and Connecticut as we mourn the loss of thousands of our citizens.

Rescue Worker:

I can't hear you!

President Bush:

I can hear you! I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you! And the people -- and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!

Rescue Workers: [Chanting]:

U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!

President Bush:

The nation -- The nation sends its love and compassion

Rescue Worker:

God bless America!

Figures for the number of Americans killed by Undocumented [Illegal] Aliens are hard to come by. In 2006, World Net Daily, estimated Illegal aliens murder 12 Americans daily. If true, it means almost 75,000 Americans have died at the hands of an Illegal Aliens (other than the 911 attackers) since 911 - Approximately 4,500 annually - 1500 more Americans die every year because of people, here illegally, than died in 911.

Seeking justice for those who died on 911 was a great thing to do, IMO. But what about justice for many more who have died every year since 911, and who WILL die in coming years because of illegals in our country?

We spent countless billions of dollars since 911, fighting the war on terror. At least 500 million people have been killed in the war. 7,000 of our own soldiers have died, not to mention the many more thousands wounded, and still being treated for PTSD. Can we not devote a mere fraction of this effort to an even worse terror here, on our own soil?

While the merits of continuing the fight on terror in foreign lands is being debated, one thing is certain, stopping the flow of illegals through our Southern border offers huge benefits, not only in lives saved, but in billions of dollars saved annually as well.

Where IS America's compassion for the thousands and thousands of "other" Americans killed by illegals since 911, by ones, twos, threes, and so forth?

Where is America's concern for those who, without question, will be maimed and murdered TODAY, and in the future?

What would be more productive in providing for the SAFETY of all AMERICANS, than the spending of a few measly billions (relatively speaking) to build a proven deterrent, a Wall or Fence, or whatever you want to call it, as long as it stops the flow of those who WILL do harm to AMERICAN citizens?!

Does ANYONE doubt Congress would immediately authorize 5 billion, or more, for building a heavily fortified fence around D.C., if for one moment, it believed citizens were headed there with pitchforks, rails, feathers, and tar?!

PERSPECTIVE!

"OUR REPRESENTATIVES" NEED SOME!

Complete Title: America's 'war on terror' has cost the US nearly $6 trillion and killed roughly half a million people, and there's no end in sight

housing ILLEGALS in our country has cost us more than a 1/2 trillion every single year, so in 10 years, that’s more than $5 trillion dollars- I wonder why the left aren’t complaining about that expense

FBI budget they deign to divulge: almost 9 billion.
NSA budget: Snowden said it was around 50 billion. They admit around 10 billion.

The point is that it’s all kabuki theatre if they are fighting about a 1 time 5 billion or so expenditure. Good grief the NSA is the biggest employer in Maryland. I doubt any sort of viable barrier will ever be built.

$6 billion could have prevented 9/11 and all subsequent attacks: by enforcing a hard entry/exit visa system, travel ban and mandatory immigration enforcement by municipalities, as required by the bipartisan 1996 law. Atta and 4 of his accomplices overstayed visas and were DETAINED by police for various offenses...and then released without visa checks. Airstrikes, 100k troops and trillions in war spending didnt do a damn thing to make us safer

The DOD doesn’t think border security is a “worthy” mission, unless it is for a country 5,000 miles away, so no wall and border patrolling will ever happen until that changes. The DOD must be brought to hell.

the problem as I see it is that Obama (and Bush too) let hundreds of thousands of Muslims into USA (both “legally” and mostly otherwise.. they just keep coming in...by the thousands)

so I am for fighting them in their bases in Krapistans, yes, but we need to repatriate, export, return them out of USA, too! This is the most immediate danger, imho... and even the Wall won’t protect us from all the ones that have already snuck into USA, they are already HERE!

Amazing. How do you hide hundreds of $billions per year? How do you pay for $6 trillion in wars in shithole countries?

We are country, for a brief moment in history, living large on massive debt, in a printed, fiat, paper currency, with manipulated low interest rates. It makes politicians extremely irresponsible, and it covers huge waste and fraud in government.

Too bad we didn’t use some nukes 09/02/2011...would have been a lot less spent than $6T.

Who came up with these numbers and drivel?

Oh! It is The Cost of Wars Project. This is a far-left political artifact dedicated to exaggerating the costs and neglecting to mention any benefits.

Here is a modest, partial rebuttal.

I agree! Lack of wall is evidence that $6 trillion for war on terror hasn’t been well spent.

More perspective: under David Dinkins, over 2200 people were murdered in a year. Under Giuliani, it rapidly dropped to 600.

Throwing out Dinkins saved more American lives than were lost in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And socialism costs 70% of the Federal budget.

Even if that 6T was the entirety of the other 30%, that’d be socialism costing 14T in the same time period.

The cost of the wars by the end of Bush’s terms was listed at about $1 Trillion, or about the cost of 9/11.

What’d Obama do to cost the other 5?

The Left told us a million were killed in Iraq alone and that was a decade ago.

So, the National Debt would “only” be FIFTEEN TRILLION DOLLARS instead of TWENTY ONE TRILLION DOLLARS?

That makes me feel better.

So we will import another 20,000,000 poor people and let them wire cash back HOME.
