Kids are drinking too much soda, which can lead to severe health hazards

One in four adults and one in three high school students have one or more sugary drinks per day, according to the New York Department of Health. To combat this scourge, the organization has announced a new media campaign, featuring a man confused by the difference between a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of soda.

"Like cigarettes, sugary drinks are bad for our health and can have long-term consequences," said health commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot. "Through this campaign, we hope all New Yorkers will understand that, while sugary drinks may be sweet going down, their impact on our health is not."

There are about three states where the media depicts that represent the entire United States, like New York, Washington DC, and California.

That’s all they pay attention too, and they way they report on them is, “whatever is happening in those states, is the way it is all over America.”.

Most of us in the rest of the country want nothing to do with those liberal strongholds, and were it not for the likes of CNN, and other liberal propaganda machines, we wouldn’t know a thing about any of it.

About mid-2015, I swore off all television news, including FOX...I am happier, and more calm than I ever was. In fact, I’ve sworn off most television, as even the sitcoms are extensions of liberal news and agenda.

While a wonderful invention, television has turned into a factor of control for the ignorant. Listening to the TV heads will lower IQ’s by a lot. Counting on a dressed up personality behind a microphone to tell the truth is futile.

Hairspray and mascara does not a wise person make, and the ability to read with a all-caps smile does not increase credulity.

Turn it off, and be a happier person for it.

When I was a kid (60s and 70s) I was hitting the soda machine frequently, and my mother sent me to school with ring-dings, devil dogs, scooter pies, and other sweets and pastries. It was no big deal. And I was never fat -- I played outside every day.

Sugar may not qualify as a health food, but if its more dangerous than cigarettes, that just makes me think we should allow smoking in all public places: smoking obviously isn't dangerous at all. Right??

ugary drinks are as dangerous as cigarettes

There is actually some truth to that. Some.

I say it this way: In america, a bad diet kills a lot more people than cigarettes does.

This is TMI, but I don’t care.

I just finished a five day fast. Nothing but water and coffee, and mineral supplements. The results were great but I experienced something I never expected:

I’m 65 and have gotten used to getting up to go to the bathroom 3-4 times a nite. It’s just life as an old person - I thought.

Since the fast, I sleep through the night, no problem.

This is, for me, huge.
