Well, dear, that’s why your party and their party need to go.

GOP lawmakers answer to big donors, not to the voters who elected them

Nancy is speaking the truth. Your precious Republican Party supports open borders. I’ll bet you were a big George W Bush fan. He’s the classic establishment Republican, beloved by party leaders and activists. And he was an open borders president. Nancy is just pointing out the obvious

So what if the president faces opposition from some RINOs.

If he declares a national emergency the president doesn’t need their votes anyway.

Yeah, there’ll be a dozen in the House and 5 in the Senate.

But not enough, by law, to negate the emergency declaration and deny the powers.

The House will vote to undo it.

The Senate will not.

The declaration and all the assumed powers will remain.

The Dems need 20 in the Senate and 55 in the House to override a Trump veto.

They’ll be lucky to get 20% of those numbers in either body. The other Republicans, regardless of whether they agree with Trump, know that their careers effectively are OVER, if they cross Trump on this issue.

What are they going to do about it? It’s an executive decision, an executive right, not Congressional.

How does a Congressional vote to undo an emergency declaration work? Does it require a simple majority in each chamber? If so, and if 5 GOP senators defect as you predict, won’t the repeal pass?
