Trump Denies Reports of 'Chaos' in the White House Over Shutdown by 'Fake Reporter'

President Trump took to Twitter Saturday to criticize media reports on the partial government shutdown that said there was chaos in the White House over the impasse between Trump and House Democrats on his $5 billion funding demand for a border wall.

I just watched a Fake reporter from the Amazon Washington Post say the White House is “chaotic, there does not seem to be a strategy for this Shutdown. There is no plan.” The Fakes always like talking Chaos, there is NONE. In fact, there’s almost nobody in the W.H. but me, and...— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 12, 2019

....I do have a plan on the Shutdown. But to understand that plan you would have to understand the fact that I won the election, and I promised safety and security for the American people. Part of that promise was a Wall at the Southern Border. Elections have consequences!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 12, 2019

The President’s criticism of a “fake reporter” from the “Amazon Washington Post” appears to be referencing the Post’s White House Bureau Chief Philip Rucker who called the White House “chaotic” and claimed there was no clear plan to end the shutdown on the “Today” show early Saturday.

It seems the president was watching @PeterAlexander, @kwelkernbc and me talk on @TODAYshow this morning about the lack of a strategy in the White House to end what is now the longest government shutdown in U.S. history https://t.co/FKfEXtCMVV— Philip Rucker (@PhilipRucker) January 12, 2019

President Trump also tweeted that he was in the White House ready to act and sign funding legislation to end the longest government shutdown in history if Democrats would only come back from their "vacations."

We have a massive Humanitarian Crisis at our Southern Border. We will be out for a long time unless the Democrats come back from their “vacations” and get back to work. I am in the White House ready to sign!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 12, 2019

House Democrats have refused to compromise on funding for the border wall calling it ineffective and even "immoral" and the president will not sign government funding legislation that does not fund the wall as the shutdown reaches its 22nd day.

BOOM!

I know most people aren't watching this as closely as we are, but -- golly -- the Democrats clearly own this whole mess. Trump is ready to end it. They want to prolong it: a losing position.

Fake news is real lies. If it’s fake it can be excused. If it’s lies, it can be damaging just because it is still a lie. But not all disbelieve lies while others excuse the comments by watering them down calling them fake. They are lies!

I wonder what happened to all the polls? I haven’t seen any in the past couple weeks. This is not going well for the democrats, they are in a lose/lose situation right now.

I have a feeling the polls are even worse for the democRATS after the Presidential address and their creepy response to it.

The plan is Democrats capitulate on funding the wall. Until then the quasi-shutdown continues.

There would not be any of these issues if Trump prevented these people from entering the White House. If staff members are making trouble, fire them.

listening to radio news this morning, twice I heard the laid-off workers missed their second check yesterday. But it should have been the first check missed. If I am correct it was a deliberate attempt to worsen the situation in the public’s mind. That sort of misleading publication has become the rule, not the exception with today’s media.

We must never forget that leftwads lie *all* the time.

The only time they speak any truth is when they’re using it to set up a long con.

Myself, I’ve had trouble developing an automatic skepticism. However, I keep working at it.

We hear reports of “chaos” in the White House weekly, yet things keep getting done.

Could it be possible reporters are lying?

Or is it those creating chaos are constantly being purged and crying about it?

It just seems as though the MSM is crying “wolf” about it consistently.

There is no "Chaos in the White House". They know how to handle things and that's what they are doing.

The rabble do not know how to get what they want through peaceful political processes. They do not know that America will never be intimidated by invasion of the rabble. The invaders yell they will take back land they they think was theres. WRONG.

Do I care if IRS workers miss a paycheck? Does anyone? Does anyone care if TSA loses a paycheck?

I know what you are saying. But the Coast Guard is in this group. They need to be moved to the Navy Department and out of Homeland Defense. After all, in wartime they do submarine hunting, provide protection to convoys, mann landing craft on invasions, small boats on the Vietnam rivers, etc. They are presently at the forefront of our war on drugs. They confiscate enough drugs in one year to pay for the entire CG force in any year.

Totally agree!

USCG does the shallow water control that the USN isn’t suited for, as they have the choppers and water craft best suited for the environment.

I’ve seen TV footage where they are not only doing search and rescue, but they are capturing boats and submersibles with millions of $$$ of drugs and stopping illegals trying to cross into the US via our coasts.
