Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Michigan Democrat, was called out Monday after Palestinian activist Abbas Hamideh, a staunch defender of the terrorist group Hezbollah, posted photos of the two of them posing at her swearing-in ceremony in Detroit.
Mr. Hamideh tweeted a photo of himself Saturday with Ms. Tlaib along with the caption, I was honored to be at Congresswoman @RashidaTlaib swearing in ceremony in #Detroit and private dinner afterward with the entire family, friends and activists across the country.
Critics were quick to point out that Mr. Hamideh, a co-founder of the pro-Palestinian group Al-Awda, which means right of return, has a history of praising Hezbollah leaders such as Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and declaring that Israel has no right to exist.
In December 2015, Mr. Hamideh called convicted terrorist Samir Kuntar a legendary Hezbollah martyr, days after he was killed in an explosion in Damascus. Kuntar was convicted of murder and terrorism for his role in a 1979 attempted kidnapping that resulted in the deaths of four Israelis but was released in a 2008 Israeli-Hezbollah prisoner exchange.
Max Samarov, executive director for research and campus strategy of the pro-Israel group Stand With Us, said that Mr. Hamideh has a long record of incendiary rhetoric.
Just one example: He called Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah the most honorable man on earth, Mr. Samarov said, referring to a February 2016 social media post. Hassan Nasrallah has made genocidal threats against Jews, he has actively aided the dictator Bashar al-Assad in the mass murder of the Syrian people.
Mr. Samarov said he was unaware of any other member of Congress meeting with Mr. Hamideh. Ms. Tlaibs office did not return immediately Monday a request for comment.

Terrorism - it’s what’s for DNC Dinner.
Is Michigan going to start naming their streets after suicide bombers now?
There's no way a foul mouthed muzzie like her could ever legitimately be elected in a United States election .....
Revoke her security clearance.
There’s no way a foul mouthed muzzie like her could ever legitimately be elected in a United States election .....
Why not? Hussein did it. Twice.
Yep...Never thought I’d see the day even with Dems, of course now they’ve gone anti-American and socialist.
Unfortunately, nobody, except conservatives, cares. And the msm is not going to let non-conservatives, even hear about it, even if they were to care.
Likely she’s from a predominately mussulman district and as such she is just representing her constituents who agree with her every utterance.
Support Free Republic, Folks!
Michigan and Minnesota are the new M&M states...Muslim and Muslim
He sure did and he was right.
And to think of all those who fought and died for our Republic just to have idiots like this destroy it.
There is a better, a more permanent solution, than recall
I really want to know—from you or a lawyer familiar with Constitutional law or anyone else who knows—at what point does a person become ineligible for Congress based on espoused ideas, associations, actions?
Here is a person, Tlaib, who has supported and is supporting an organization, Hezbollah, which is on the DoS terrorist list. Can constituents elect just anyobdy to Congress? Isn’t there a bar that is too low?
According to this source:https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/history-and-overview-of-hezbollah#ideology
historically (in part), “Hezbollah is believed to have kidnapped and tortured to death U.S. Army colonel William R. Higgins and the CIA Station Chief in Beirut, William Buckley, and to have kidnapped around 30 other Westerners between 1982 and 1992.
Hezbollah was suspected of involvement in numerous anti-US and anti-Israeli terrorist attacks. The organization was responsible for the suicide truck bombings of the U.S. Embassy and U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut in October 1983, in which 241 American servicemen were killed (220 Marines, 18 Navy personnel and 3 Army soldiers) and the U.S. Embassy annex in Beirut in September 1984. The bombing at the Marine barracks in Beirut was the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima (2,500 in one day) of World War II and the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States military since the 243 killed on 31st January 1968 the first day of the Tet offensive in the Vietnam war. The attack remains the deadliest single attack on Americans overseas since World War II.
Three members of Hezbollah, Imad Mughniyeh, Hasan Izz-al-Din, and Ali Atwa, were on the FBIs list of 22 Most Wanted Terrorists for the hijacking in 1985 of TWA Flight 847 during which a U.S. Navy diver was murdered. Mughniyeh was assassinated in 2008 in a joint CIA-Mossad operation. Elements of the group were responsible for the kidnapping and detention of Americans and other westerners in Lebanon in the 1980s....
In October 1997 , the U.S. State Department added Hezbollah to its list of terrorist organizations....
On May 17, 2015, the U.S. House unanimously passed the Hezbollah International Financial Prevention Act, aimed at stifling the finances of the Hezbollah terrorist organization. The act ratchets up sanctions foreign financial institutions that are known to have dealings with Hezbollah.”
So pardon my naivete, but how can this woman Tlaib have been confirmed as a member of Congress? How can she convincingly swear to uphold the laws of the US when she is actively supporting members of a terrorist group who are opposed to the existence of the US? Obama disguised a great deal of his background but Tlaib is not disguising anything.
Good post! I can’t answer your question but I would like to know the answer also.
That’s a good rundown with specifics from the Jewish Virtual Library, I remember those events from when they happened.
In my view Tlaib not only doesn’t deserve a seat in our government, she’s not worth a glob of spit.
these dangerous sickos should not be permitted to remain free on the streets of America
Which only goes to prove republicans don't care. I notice they are backbiting one of their own and not much from them on these racist islamist.
