I confess this surprised me. After her defeat on the Brexit vote yesterday I honestly expected her to lose the no-confidence vote, resign, and someone else would lead the Conservatives in the next election.

This can mean ONLY ONE THING:

The parliament wants to stay in the EU, they don’t care about what the people want and voted for twice.................

Not by much, a margin of just 19.

I was hoping for Boris Johnson or Daniel Hannan, perhaps in coalition with Nigel Farage and UKIP.

May was a Remain. At least Cameron had the integrity to resign after the Brexit vote. It’s no wonder May screwed up Brexit, which she has never supported.

May must deliver on Brexit or even her own party will turn on her. This sent her that message.

I wonder if enough people knew that as lousy May has been, Corbyn as PM would mean kissing a good deal of what is left of the UK goodbye.

The conservatives are forcing her to do an actual Brexit deal, not this watered-down nothing burger that kept the UK half in and half out of the EU. Nigel Farage is very pleased with this outcome. The soncervatives are the reason she is still there.

All smoke and mirrors. The Yellow vests need to break out all over the UK and all across Europe.

Meanwhile, we can order our Red, White, and Blue vests.

Yes, I agree that I expected May not to survive this no-confidence vote.

A no-confidence vote would have led to a delay in Brexit and a possible second referendum.

This makes a hard Brexit much more likely.

Labour wants her out. It was willing to screw up the brexit process in order to get her out and regain power.

May is bad, but Labour is infinitely worse.

She survived because NOBODY in her party wants to take her place and take over that thankless task called Brexit.

There is no Margaret Thatcher around anymore.

They failed on a no-confidence vote the last time, and now this. Just tells me that none of them have the balls to do their job. They’re happy with the status quo.

IIRC, it was Rush Limbaugh who speculated that this is all theater designed to delay a real Brexit exit. The Elites do not want to exit. So far, they have managed to delay for about 2.5 years.
