The RATS could reopen the government by funding The Wall protecting our freedoms from invaders who are changing our way of life by electing corrupt communists as they did in their previous countries.

This is a big Plus for DJT. He met with the Problem solvers trying to start working something out. Pelosi and Schumer did nothing but spout their crap.

These House Democrats in the centrist Problem Solvers Caucus met today with @realDonaldTrump in the Situation Room to discuss the shutdown:

"Centrists"?

"Problem Solvers"?

That's a bunch of BS.

Solve the problem by funding the wall.

Ahead of the meeting, the Problem Solver Democrats insisted the government must be reopened before real negotiations can begin.

This has been tried by Republicans for most my adult life. Giving Dems what they want up front has never worked for Republicans yet.

The first 4/5ths of the excerpt are contradicted by the last 1/5th.

Oh well.

Brindisi is now my House representative. I’ll have to call his office tomorrow, and let him know that I appreciate his willingness to meet with the President.

Spanberger is a hardcore leftist despite her protestations and smiles. Ted Bundy smiled before he struck.

Ahead of the meeting, the Problem Solver Democrats insisted the government must be reopened before real negotiations can begin.

Is this demand nonsense?

Such a requirement is meaningless because there is nothing to guarantee that the wall will be funded.

The amount of money is not an issue. The USA spends more on sugar subsidies.

Because Democrats have acknowledged and supported a wall in the past, why would they not support it today?

Putting the government back to work without wall funding will just continue what has been going on for thirty years.

Build the wall!

In the group's announcement of the Problem Solvers Caucus, No Labels co-chair Jon Huntsman said, "The members of this new caucus are heeding the call of millions of Americans who want a new politics of problem solving in our government. It’s a bold move and a challenge to the way business is typically done in Washington. Our country needs more leaders like these willing to rise above the partisanship and get things done."

Will Jon be the one to end up on the back of the white horse instead of Mitt?

In other words, they met and accomplished absolutely nothing. Fine by me. Didn’t expect any other outcome.

Why are the RATS wasting our taxpayer dollars bringing up proposals that President Trump has rejected many times before? What part of, “That ain’t gonna happen on my watch” don’t they understand. Thick headed libs.

So...one option. Not going to please everyone but here’s my idea.

1) Cut a deal with the Problem Solvers coalition. Re-open government for a couple months in exchange for a significant portion of wall funding. $2-3 billion. Both sides claim a win.

2) Once funded, Army Corps of Engineers builds the biggest HESCO barrier ever for cheap. It’s literally just canvas and dirt or sand—but it works. Reinforce it with c-wire. We get the wall quickly and even on the shoestring budget. HESCO barrier demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G38VXkIFSG8

3) Start aggressively deporting DACA Dreamers until Dems fund additional border security, such as more agents and reinforced fencing.
