The Kamala Harris Show (She is pathetic)
freebeacon.com ^ | Brent Scher

Kamala Harris's effort to rebrand herself as one of the cool candidates running for office didn't begin with the Monday release of her "Mood Mix" video of her favorite songs. It began with her book tour.

Each of the four book events last week began with California’s Democratic senator dancing onto the stage with Tupac's "California Love" exploding through the speakers. The events, in the liberal cities of Washington D.C., New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, are a clear warm-up act for her presidential run. But the goal at the events wasn't to go after President Donald Trump—her goal was to open up personally, reintroducing herself to voters as somebody she hopes they can relate to.

At her final event in Los Angeles on Sunday, she managed to avoid uttering Trump's name altogether. The event was about Harris learning to "talk about herself," which she said was something she hasn't been accustomed to doing before her book, The Truths We Hold.

Making it easier for Harris to talk about herself on Sunday was her host, Cleo Wade. The poet began the interview by telling Harris she was her "North Star in our nation's capital," and later gushed, "Whenever I'm in your presence, all I think of to myself is, ‘Who made her?'"

Wade avoided any questions on policy, instead choosing to focus on the personal parts of the new book. Anecdotes about Harris's upbringing in Oakland, her time going to parties as a student at Howard University, and how she met her husband Doug Emhoff on a blind date fill the hour. She says her stepchildren call her their "Momala," and she maintains a good relationship with her husband's first wife, who was in the audience at the Sunday event.

I think Kamala is a graduate of the Hillary Clinton School of Obnoxious Belly Laughs. Watch the video if you can stand it and catch Kamala's full-throated laugh.

Haar dee haar haar.

This is a standard political tactic, to introduce the candidate as likeable with a commendable personal history. Issues and policy ideas are then rolled out, with a broad theme emerging before the formal announcement. In sort, it seems that Kamala Harris will run a fairly conventional campaign.

Most of these people running for president know they don’t have a snowballs chance winning the nomination. They are building name recognition for senior posts if their guy wins or if they need a future lobbying job.

The book would be more interesting (and truthful) if it were titled “Willie Brown’s Whore.”

Quite.

Her book, with its pearls-n-blouse soft-focus cover, is also the standard prop. It has an intentionally vague title and an intentionally vague subtitle. It will be referred to by the candidate more often than anyone else does. It will be used as a still shot to preface TV interviews. It will be claimed that her book is a visionary manifesto with all manner of bright new ideas but it’s more of the same ie it’s another more infamous Manifesto. Autographs will be signed upon it.

In reality, the book could be filled with blank pages and it would be treated the same and sell the same and be read by as many people ie none of them.

The book can also be used to shade the truth or push outright lies, relying on human nature to assume that if it’s in print then it’s factual. B Obama and his handlers/ghostwriters relied heavily on this fact and were never challenged on it.

Political stagecraft might be unavoidable in a campaign but the Dem version is so scripted, cheesy, fake and ham-fisted that sane people can’t help but look on in horror at all the clapping sea lions (including media) praising the equivalent of pro wrestling.

When they have to tell us a candidate is likable, they've got problems. Nobody is telling us that Beato is likable. Everyone already knows that. Kamala Harris, on the other hand, is perpetually scowling and filled with rage. That might play well with the TDS crowd but not the average voter.

Kamala has a laugh like a chain smoking mob boss. Someone needs to tell her to add a touch of refinement.

Most political advice is bunkum but serves practical concerns. The advice to establish yourself as likeable is pleasing to candidates and their families so it goes down well. It also racks up fees and commissions for the givers of such advice.

Check out the horse laughing Kamala at various points in her contrived video...0:21, 1:00, 1:21, 1:37, and 2:13.

Someone has obviously told her that her laugh is infectious. It is infectious in an HIV sort of way.

Most candidates have little to know impact on me. I mean, I’m going to biased against a liberal, democrats...probably all of us will, but

This lady gives me a visceral uneasiness everytime she talks.

You see her in these Committees drilling, some Washington Cabinet member or general, and she’s talking down to them like they’re children. Like the time she asks this guy from Homeland Security why was the KKK bad?

She a true POS, and anyone picking up on her as being a serious candidate for the president is kidding themselves.

She’s lucky if she could bring in 5%
